Chapter 225 Reminders
As soon as the two of them finished chatting, Madison and Bonnie came out.
When Bonnie saw Yanis, she walked to her, "Yanis."
Yanis took Bonnie's arm, "Mrs. Baxter, Miss. Hope, Bonnie and I will go back now. Have a safe trip."
Madison glanced at Mila, and then at Yanis, "Yanis, wait a minute, I have something to tell you."
After finishing speaking, Madison looked at Mila, and said softly, "Mila, go back, and let me know when
you get home."
Mila nodded, "Alright, Mrs. Baxter, bye."
After speaking, Mila nodded to Yanis and Bonnie again, as a goodbye.
After Mila left, Bonnie pulled her arm out of Yanis's hand, "I'll wait for you by the car."
Madison watched Bonnie walk away, then turned to look at Yanis with a smile on her face, "Yanis, did
you enjoy the dinner? I noticed that you didn't eat much, was the food not palatable to you?"
Yanis shook his head, "No, I've been eating around with Bonnie lately. Maybe I've eaten something
wrong. I don't have much appetite."
"Take care, a sick stomach is annoying."
Yanis nodded, "I will."
Madison responded, and embraced Yanis affectionately, "Yanis, what do you think of Mila?"
Yanis looked at Madison upon hearing the sound.
Madison said, "I mean, is she a good match for Ivan?"
Yanis hesitated for a while before answering, "Miss. Hope is very nice, if Ivan agrees, they will make a
good couple."
Madison nodded with a smile, "I think so too. Her family and we wanted them to be a couple since they
were kids. But Ivan's father disagreed, saying that the children should be free to love."
Madison paused for a moment and looked at Yanis, "Indeed, later on, Ivan fell in love. Mila is a good
girl. She never told Ivan that she liked him. She blessed him when she knew that he was in love."
Hearing this, Yanis basically understood what Madison was going to say.
Yanis looked at Madison, "Mrs. Baxter, I know what you're worried about. Ivan and Bonnie and I will
always be friends, nothing else."
Madison nodded, "Yanis, I am sorry."
Yanis shook her head, "Don't be. You are Ivan's mother, I understand your concerns."
Madison hugged Yanis, "Thank you."
"I'll talk to Ivan at a right time."
Madison responded, "Okay, thank you."
Yanis smiled.
Having achieved her goal, Madison sent Yanis and Bonnie back to Bonnie's studio.
"Mrs. Baxter, take care."
Madison nodded, "Good night. Come to my house when you get the time."
"Okay."
After Madison drove away, Bonnie looked at Yanis, "Did you about Ivan?"
Yanis nodded, turned around, and walked into the studio with Bonnie in her arms, "Mrs. Baxter's
intention is obvious. She wants Ivan and me to be friends only."
"Don't put it so nicely. She just doesn't like it that you've divorced!" Bonnie took out the key and opened
the door, and then continued, "If she knows that you are pregnant, she would ask you to stay away
from Ivan."
Hearing Bonnie's agitated tone, Yanis asked, "What did Mrs. Baxter say to you? You sound angry at
her."
Bonnie snorted, "If it weren't for Ivan, I would have argued with her tonight. She is so pretentious,
always smiling and making people feel that she is easy to get along with. But she can be meaner than
anyone else when things happen."
Yanis was kind of amused by Bonnie's words, "She didn't say anything mean to me. She was purely
reminding me."
"How precious is the position of her daughter-in-law, if Mr. Baxter is not so good, I don't think she even
deserves a daughter-in-law!"
Yanis patted Bonnie, "Okay if we stand in her shoes, everything makes sense."
"No, I just don't like her being so biased. What is the problem with getting divorced? It's not murder."
"But some people might judge."
Bonnie had more complain but she didn't say them for feeling that it was pointless.
"Do you want some water?"
Yanis hummed, "I'm going to the bathroom."
Bonnie responded, turned around to get two glasses of warm water, and then sat down on the chair.
When Yanis came out, Bonnie looked up, "Are you going back to Linen Bay tonight? Stay."
"Both are fine."
"Then stay here and go back tomorrow."
Yanis hummed, "I'll bring the painting I put in your studio last time back tomorrow. OI need to finish it in
the next few days."
"Don't just sit all the time. Move around."
Yanis responded, "I know."
The two chatted for a while before going upstairs. Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
...
Early the next morning, after breakfast, Yanis called a car and went back to Linen Bay.
Bonnie wanted to send Yanis back.
But just when she took the keys, she had a customer and then got several calls from customers who
were going to pick dresses.
So Yanis grabbed a taxi.
The car stopped at the entrance of Linen Bay, Yanis took all the things from the car, then pilled the fee.
"Yanis."
Just as Yanis was carrying her things in, she heard a familiar voice.
Looking over, Yanis saw the person walking towards her and smiled at him, "Mr. Duncan."
When Iris heard this name, he joked, "It has only been a few days. Why are you calling me like this
again? Don't you feel like being friends with me?"
Yanis smiled awkwardly, "Sorry, I'm just used to it."
Iris' eyes fell on her hand, "What is this?"
Yanis explained, "I lived with Bonnie some time ago, and I put all these things in her place. Last night I
was there again. So today I brought them back. I got to start painting. Otherwise, before the Old Mr.
Duncan asks me about it."
Iris smiled, "He can tell the client and ask them to give you more time"
"They need the painting for their new house. I should better finish it in time. They needed to frame it
later." "Okay," Yanis responded softly.
"New house?"
Yanis nodded, "I promised the Old Mr. Duncan. I don't want to fail him."
