Chapter 176: Keep The Baby
Back in the hospital room, Ivan and Bonnie helped Yanis lie down on the bed.
Bonnie and Ivan then looked at each other.
"You guys talk while I go to get Yanis something to eat."
Yanis shook her head. "I don't have an appetite."
"Even if you have no appetite, you have to eat some, or your body will not be able to bear it," Ivan said
these words and left the ward.
After Ivan leaves, Yanis and Bonnie were left alone.
In such a large space, it was so quiet that they could even hear the sound of needles dropping.
After a while, Bonnie asked, "Yanis, what are you up to?"
After all, none of them expected this to happen.
If it was yesterday, things might have turned out differently, but now they had been divorced.
After a long time, Yanis' voice arose, "I want to keep it."
Bonnie looked up at her. She had a lot to say, but when she opened her mouth, nothing came out.
It was probably because Yanis' weak look and her pale face kept Bonnie from saying anything cruel.
Bonnie reached for Yanis's hand and gently squeezed it. "Yanis, you've got to think for yourself. Life
can be long, and it can also be short. You're alone..."
"Bonnie, I want to keep the baby."
Bonnie's words were interrupted. She froze for a second.
She watched Yanis's slender fingers for a moment. "Okay, keep the baby."
Soon the doctor came in, gave Yanis an injection and some medicine to keep the baby alive, then put
Yanis on a drip.
"Try to stay in bed," the nurse said before she left.
"Yes, thank you."

After the nurse left, the room was quiet again.
Bonnie sat on the edge of the bed, looking at her. "Shall we tell that scumbag?"
"No!" Yanis was still emotional. "Don't tell him!"
Bonnie pressed slightly her dry lips. "Yanis, you have to think well."
Yanis leaned against the head of her bed and looked up at the white ceiling above her. "Yes, I've
thought it through."
Yanis was really scared when she first heard the news of her pregnancy.
But more than that, Yanis was afraid that she was going to lose the baby soon after she found out she
was pregnant…
After calming down for a while, Yanis decided that the baby was probably the best thing she had from
her relationship with Zane in the past five years.
She didn't make Zane fall in love with her, nor did she make the marriage work for the rest of her life.
The arrival of a new life now was like giving Yanis a chance to live again.
She wanted to keep the baby, after all, it was the most luxurious thing she had ever dreamed of.
Bonnie knew Yanis so well that she didn't persuade her to think twice about telling Zane.
She just stood by her side and supported her own idea. She was the one who said
nothing but supported her through everything.
"Ivan and I know about your pregnancy." Bonnie looked at Yanis. "Are we going to tell Travis about
this?"
Yanis shook her head. "No, I'm afraid the teacher is going after Zane."
After all, they were separated now, and if Travis found it out, he was definitely going to fight Zane.
Bonnie said, "well, let's not talk about it. Let's wait until the baby is stable."
Yanis nodded. "Bonnie, I'm scared."
Bonnie gave Yanis her hand. "Hold my hand. Hold it and you won't be afraid."
Yanis didn't say anything, just grabbed Bonnie's hand tightly.
Maybe it was because she was tired, or maybe it was because pregnant people were a little drowsy.
Yanis soon fell asleep, but she didn't let go of Bonnie's hand.
Watching Yanis fall asleep, Bonnie reached out and gently poked Yanis in the face.
It was then that she noticed that Yanis had lost a lot of weight and was getting skinny.
Ivan bought porridge and some nutritious soup.
"Let her get some sleep." Bonnie looked at Ivan. "If you have other work..."
"I don't have work to do."
Ivan interrupted Bonnie before she could finish her sentence.
Bonnie carefully removed her hand from Yanis' hand and got up to tuck Yanis into bed.
"Shall we go outside to talk?"
Ivan took one look at Yanis, then nodded and walked out of the room.
Bonnie followed Ivan and then closed the door behind her.
They didn't get far but stayed in the hallway.
"What's going on with Yanis and Zane? Divorced?"
Ivan leaned against the wall, glancing at Bonnie.
Bonnie wasn't hiding anything from Ivan. "Yes, they just got a divorce this morning."
Even with a hunch, Ivan was shocked to hear Bonnie's words.
She divorced him in the morning and found out she was pregnant in the afternoon.
This kind of thing was really ironic.
Bonnie leaned against the wall as Ivan did. "Yanis wants to keep the baby. She doesn't want anyone to
know."
Ivan was silent as if he didn't hear Bonnie.
Just as Bonnie was about to speak again, Ivan suddenly stood up straight and turned to Bonnie, and
said in a serious voice, "Bonnie, do you believe me?"
Bonnie's eyebrows flicked. "What are you trying to say?"
"Since Yanis doesn't want Zane to know about this, as Manches City is not that big, there's always
going to be a place where they're going to run into each other. Yanis is going to have a baby bump and
it's going to be impossible to hide it from him. The Lawrence family wouldn't have let her keep the baby
if they knew she was pregnant."
Bonnie listened to Ivan and didn't contradict him.
Ivan was telling the truth, it was unlikely that anyone in the Lawrence family would want Yanis to keep
the baby except Edison and Catherine.
"So, do you want to take Yanis away from Manches City?"
Ivan nodded. "Bonnie, help me talk to her."
Bonnie was silent for a long time. "I'll try."
...
Yanis woke up after sleeping for a while and unconsciously touched her stomach.
"The doctor said to do a test tomorrow morning," Bonnie whispered when she saw Yanis touching her
belly.
Yanis reflexively pulled her hand back and was relieved to see Bonnie alone in the room. "Is Ivan
gone?"
"No, he got you some food, but you fell asleep before. The food is cold now, so he went to warm it up
for you."
"Well, he doesn't have to. I..."
"You have a baby now," Bonnie interrupted, "so even if you take one bite, you have to eat."
