Chapter 158: I Never Thought I'D Become That Mysterious Woman

Chapter 158: I Never Thought I'd Become That Mysterious Woman

Zane's affair with Yanis was not public, so at this point, Lucia couldn't say anything against it.

Yanis was confident that Lucia wouldn't say anything about her affair with Zane in public, so she was

somewhat confident.

Lucia looked at Yanis in shock, as if she didn't expect Yanis to contradict her like this.

Or maybe she didn't expect Yanis to admit in public that she was crazy about men.

For a moment, she looked at Yanis with a very ugly face and she seemed to get angrier and angrier.

"How could you be so shameless!?"

Lucia didn't know what else to say. For a long time, she could only scold Yanis with these words.

"Other than words like that, can you come up with something new?" Yanis said with a chill in her voice,

"if not, please excuse us, Mrs. Lawrence. We're leaving."

That being said, Yanis then turned to Haider and whispered, "let's go."

Haider looked at Lucia as Yanis was about to enter the elevator.

But before Yanis and Haider could get inside of the elevator, Lucia's voice arose again. "Did you know

she was married?"

Lucia said to Haider.

Not only did Lucia's words make Yanis stop her steps, but Haider stopped too and looked up at Lucia.

Haider felt that for a lady like Lucia, she was a little bit out of line.

But today Lucia was an eye-opener for him.

If Myles hadn't let it slip over the past two days, he would have been somewhat shocked to hear Lucia's

words.

But Haider didn't show any emotion. He looked at Lucia calmly and said, "Mrs. Lawrence, Yanis, and

I..."

"I'm also married. Why should he be the only one having fun with other women, and I shouldn't be with

other men? Are there double standards like that in the world?"

Yanis interrupted Haider before he could finish his sentence.

Lucia's face changed as she heard Yanis' words.

She wanted to say something back, but she couldn't find the words.

Yanis did not stay any longer. She reached for Haider and they got into the elevator.

She closed the elevator door in front of Lucia's face.

All of Yanis' indifference crumbled the moment she closed the elevator.

Haider stood next to Yanis and tried to speak several times, but in the end, he didn't say anything.

Sometimes silence was a sign of respect.

The elevator slowly descended, and on the third floor, Yanis said, "sorry for what happened there,

Haider."

Haider glanced at Yanis from the reflection of the elevator wall. Her eyes were clearly red, but she still

maintained her indifferent smile.

Haider's eyebrows moved slightly. "I didn't expect you to be the mysterious woman who married Mr.

Lawrence."

Yanis pressed her lips bitterly. "I never thought I would be that mystery woman either."

Haider was silent for a few seconds, then asked, "you guys... are getting a divorce?" Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Haider regretted having said this, but since he had already done so, he did not say anything

superfluous to cover it up.

Yanis was stunned and then nodded. "Yes, we are."

"Because of Neve?"

Yanis chuckled when Haider said this. "Does Haider think it's because of Neve?"

"Part of it, right?"

The elevator stopped and Yanis got out first.

Haider was half a step behind Yanis. "Sometimes seeing is not believing. A lot of things need to be

discovered little by little."

Haider didn't put it too clearly. Myles suddenly aimed at Neve, apparently because Bonnie didn't like

Neve, and Myles wanted to help her out. But the truth was Bonnie knew exactly why she didn't like

Neve.

Haider, however, was not one to dig into people's painful experiences.

"Haider, you go up and take care of Myles, I'll head back."

Yanis stopped at the car and looked at Haider.

Haider nodded. "Go back and put on some facial mask."

Yanis nodded with a twinkle of embarrassment in her eyes. "Well, Haider, I'll go home."

"Drive slowly." Haider stood still and watched Yanis drive away. Then he turned back to the hospital

room.

Haider had always felt where was Myles' bottom line.

But today Haider found out that Myles didn't hole his principal in front of Bonnie.

"It's not like she's got a broken arm or a broken leg and needs to be constantly taken care of." Haider

gave Myles a faint glance, then looked back at Bonnie.

"Bonnie, don't spoil him!" Bonnie said in her usual style, "he's injured right now. I won't make a fuss

about it. After he is recovered, I'll ask him to pay back."

Myles took some water and looked over at Haider. "You're just jealous. Would you find someone to take

care of you like that?"

Haider gave him a cold look. "I'm looking for someone to take care of me in another way, not when I'm

injured!"

Myles tutted. "Long time since I haven't seen you, you've become shameless."

"Tell me about it." Before Haider could say anything, Bonnie then responded, "just lie still or I'll break

your other arm!"

After reprimanding Myles, Bonnie turned to Haider and asked, "Haider, where's Yanis?"

"She went back first, said she had something to do. She told me to let you know."

Bonnie nodded.

Yanis must have gone back to work on her manuscript due in three days, so Bonnie didn't say anything

more.

Haider stood aside for a moment, seemingly thinking of something, and looked over at Bonnie, who

was sitting on the edge of the bed talking to Myles. "Bonnie, do you know Yanis and Zane are getting a

divorce?"

Bonnie looked at Myles immediately when she heard this.

Myles looked away, feeling guilty.

After reaching out and secretly pinching Myles, Bonnie turned to Haider and whispered, "his first love is

back, so he doesn't want to be with Yanis anymore."

Haider raised her eyebrows. "Neve?"

Bonnie saw Haider already knew about it. She didn't shy away.

"Haider, don't you care about the reputation of your artists?" Haider laughed, "They're hired as

company artists. They work for Gotrend Entertainment, but we don't get involved in their relationships."

Bonnie pursed her lips. "People like her should be banned and never work anymore in this industry!"

Bonnie got even angrier when she thought about what Zane did. "He wasn't a good guy," she said.

"I ran into Mrs. Lawrence at the elevator," Haider said after Bonnie finished complaining.

Bonnie looked over at Haider. "And?"

Haider coughed. "She slapped Yanis."

At this point, Haider paused and explained, "the floor was wet, so Yanis slipped. I reached out my arm

to hold her, and Mrs. Lawrence happened to see this. She was too fast and I didn't get time to stop

her."
