Chapter 1023: I'll Listen to Reed
Natasha also turned to look at Allan, "Did you make my sister angry? Did you bully her?"
Mia, who was snacking, also looked up at Allan.
Allan just sat there, feeling like he was facing a formidable enemy with all his siblings looking at him
together.
Allan glanced at Mitch's face, then at Reed, and finally at the others. He said, "I didn't make her angry,
and I would never bully her."
Taylor asked, "Then what did you do? Did you find another woman outside?"
Payne stared at Allan with a look that said, "If you dare to say yes, I'll fight you."
Allan took a deep breath, "I didn't upset your sister, I didn't bully her, and I certainly didn't find another
woman. It's because of something else. If you don't believe me, you can ask your big brother."
Taylor, Payne, and Natasha turned their heads to look at Mitch, waiting for his response.
Mitch raised his hand and rubbed his forehead, "Everything you mentioned, he hasn't done any of that.
Now, you all can go back to your rooms."
Taylor, Payne, and the others hesitated for a moment before getting up and going upstairs.
Natasha hesitated for a moment and then followed Mia upstairs.
After everyone left, only Mitch, Reed, and Allan remained in the living room.
After a brief silence, Mitch spoke first, "Reed, is there something you want to tell me?"
Reed looked a bit nervous upon hearing Mitch's question. She looked at Allan for a moment before
finally saying, "Brother, I... I'm pregnant."
Though Mitch had already heard it from Allan, hearing it from Reed's mouth still gave him a surreal
feeling.
In his memory, Reed was still a little girl who followed him around and called him big brother for
everything. How did she suddenly grow up and become a mother?
Mitch was somewhat absent-minded for a moment before looking at Reed and asking softly, "Do you
have any thoughts or plans?"
Reed, with her hands on her lap, gently rubbed them and replied in a low voice, "I want to hear your
opinion."
Mitch looked at Reed and said, "If I say not to, will you change your mind?"
Though Reed had mentally prepared for this, Mitch's straightforward question still caught her off guard
for a moment. After a pause, she replied, "I will listen to what you say."
Mitch furrowed his brows slightly and was silent for a few seconds before saying, "You are still young,
let's put this matter on hold for now."
Though Mitch's words were not explicit, the implication was clear.
Reed understood Mitch's meaning.
After a moment of silence, Reed nodded towards Mitch, "I'll listen to you."
Mitch thought Reed might still hesitate a bit, so he was surprised to hear her firm response, "Are you
sure about your decision?"
Reed nodded, "I'm still young, and having a child can wait."
Mitch asked, "Aren't you going to ask Allan's opinion?"
Just as Mitch finished speaking, Allan spoke up, "I'll listen to Reed."
Allan made it clear whether in front of Mitch or in front of Reed.
He would abide by Reed's choice, and he supported her decision no matter what it was.
He couldn't be too selfish.
It was already not easy for Reed to be with him, so whatever her decision was, Allan would support it.
With Allan's words, his stance was obvious.
As long as Reed spoke, Allan wouldn't object.
That settled the matter.
Since this kind of thing would have some impact on her body, when it was confirmed that she wouldn't
keep the child, Allan found the best doctors and inquired about the specific precautions and post-
operative care.
When Yanis received Reed's call, she had guessed the result.
"The doctor was recommended by Allan?" Yanis asked on the phone. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
Reed nodded, "Yes, he has already found someone and asked about all the precautions."
Hearing Reed's words, Yanis felt relieved, "When is the surgery scheduled?"
"It's scheduled for tomorrow morning."
Upon hearing this, Yanis said softly, "I'll pick you up tomorrow. I'll accompany you."
Reed hesitated and asked softly, "Yanis, are you not busy tomorrow?"
"It's fine. I'll come over in the morning to pick you up," Yanis assured her.
Reed replied, "Okay."
After hanging up the phone, Yanis took a deep breath and turned to Bonnie, "Are you going back to
Cooke Residence to see Myles later?"
Bonnie nodded, "For some reason, he has been crying and throwing tantrums all day. No matter how I
try to soothe him, it doesn't work."
Bonnie had stayed up all night yesterday, and then there was the incident with Nolan coming to cause
trouble. Her headache was severe.
"If that's the case, you should go back now. I'll take care of things here," Yanis said in a low voice.
Bonnie didn't refuse and nodded, "If you need help, just call me. I'll head back first."
"Okay, if I need help, I'll call you," Yanis replied.
Bonnie nodded and left first.
After Bonnie left, Yanis asked Stanley to rearrange the items in the shop.
Yanis had been at the store all day and only returned home in the evening.
When Yanis entered the house and saw the extra shoes, she hesitated for a moment before looking
into the living room.
From where Yanis stood, she could only see a vague figure with an unfamiliar back.
Just as Yanis was lost in thought, she heard Rachel's voice, "How did she suddenly find this place?"
It was Rachel's voice.
Then came Dylan's voice, carrying a hint of barely detectable anger, "I don't know either."
Yanis felt that she understood the Lawrence family's situation pretty well, even though she wasn't
completely familiar with them. However, Rachel's question, "How did she suddenly find this place?"
made Yanis feel a bit uncertain.
"Yanis?"
Before Yanis could react, Rachel's voice sounded again.
Yanis had no choice but to turn around with a smile, "Aunt Rachel."
After greeting Rachel, Yanis looked at Dylan, "Uncle Dylan."
Dylan nodded and asked, looking at Yanis's attire, "Just got back from the store?"
Yanis nodded, "Yes, just got back."
