Chapter 2246
Chapter 2246
Fred was in a terrible mood when he left the room. He stomped toward the queen's bedroom but
stopped when he got near. After changing his mind, he turned and walked back.
Although he had someone watching Ross, he could not risk the prince learning that he had imprisoned
the queen there. Fred might not necessarily lose if Ross were to confront him, but the former did not
want to make things difficult for himself.
He went to Ross’s bedroom and thought he was still there. After exchanging looks with his subordinate,
Fred knew the prince had not left recently. Feeling somewhat relaxed, Fred knocked on the door.
However, There was no response.

Fred frowned and knocked on the door again. "Your Highness, I need to discuss something with you."
However, there was not even a sound.
Thinking no one was inside, Fred looked to his subordinate, who gestured in confusion that no one had
left the room. Fred cleared his throat and knocked harder. "Your Highness? I'm coming in, okay?"
He turned the handle and entered. Suddenly, a cold voice sounded behind him, "Fred, what do you
think you're doing?"
Stunned, Fred quickly turned and bowed. "I didn't mean to offend you, Your Highness. I was worried
about your safety, so I—"
"So you came into my room without my permission?" Ross asked coldly. He looked like he had just
taken a shower with a towel around his waist and hair dripping wet. However, his gaze was cold.
Fred bowed. "I didn't know you were taking a shower, and I was worried. So—"
"Worried about my safety?" Ross plopped onto the sofa. "What's there to worry about? The embassy
has many guards and surveillance cameras, right? Why? Is this place unsafe? You’ve failed in your
duty if it isn’t."
Fred quickly said, "No, that's not what I meant. Of course, the place is safe, but you aren't used to
many things here. I was just worried that you might encounter some minor mishaps while on your own.
Anyway, it's best to be careful, Your Highness."
"Are you implying something would happen to me if I’m alone?" Ross said coldly.
"Of course not!" Fred smiled and stepped closer. "It's great that you're fine. Nevertheless, I'll still need
to come in without your permission if this happens again. After all, your safety is critical."
Fred lowered his head and added, "Anyway, I'm here to tell you something important."
"Oh?" Ross narrowed his eyes at him. "About what?"
