His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 3022

Hayden thought that it was a great plan and handed his phone to Shelly.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Shelly hurried to the backyard and answered the video call.

When Avery saw Shelly's face, she smiled in surprise. "Shelly, are you with Hayden?"

Shelly blushed and said sheepishly, "Yeah. Hayden and Aiden are resting right now."

"Oh... He did get up quite early this morning. Why do you have his phone, though?" Avery asked.

Hayden had always been a man who valued his privacy and Avery could not help but suspect the two were dating.

Shelly quickly came up with a clever response. "He left his phone on the coffee table. I guess he was too tired and forgot to take it to the room. When I saw you calling, I was afraid you would worry, so I answered it without permission."

"Oh, I see! Are you guys at the place you're renting now? The scenery looks nice over there!" Avery looked at the lush trees on Shelly's side and exclaimed, "I haven't been to where you're living yet! I should visit you and your mom sometime."

Shelly did not expect Avery to be so enthusiastic and felt a bit overwhelmed.

Just then, Hayden walked over and took the phone from Shelly's hand.

"Mom, where are you and Dad going today?" Hayden, still looking a bit sleepy, rubbed his eyes.

Avery smiled and said, "We went hiking. Look, we reached the mountaintop! The view from the top is amazing! I just miss Aiden, so I decided to video call you. Little did I know you were with Shelly! If I had known, I would have called Shelly instead. Haha!"

"Mom, enjoy yourselves. I promise to bring Aiden back home safe and sound."

"Okay! Since Shelly is with you, I feel much more at ease!" Avery said.

With that, Avery ended the video call.

Avery put her phone back in her pocket and looked at Elliot. "Guess where Hayden is right now?"

Elliot remained expressionless. "At Shelly's house. I heard everything."

"Aren't you shocked? He actually

took Aiden to Shelly's house! What does that mean? It probably means they're in a romantic relationship!" Avery's chest rose and fell with excitement. "Why would Hayden do this? the wants to date someone, why does he have to be secretive about it? If he had just said that he was taking Aiden to Shelly's house today, we wouldn't object to the idea! We would have prepared gifts and taken them over, right, honey?"

"Don't you think you are reading too much into this?" Elliot asked.

"Not at all! I know my son! If he doesn't like Shelly, why would he take Aiden to Shelly's place? He doesn't even like going out. Haven't you noticed how he stays at home on weekends?" Avery argued. Elliot thought for a moment and found her reasoning sound, so he nodded. "Is there anything we should do?"

Following his wife's train of thought, Elliot also considered the possibility of having to prepare for their son's wedding.

"Let's observe the situation for now!

Let them spend some time together. If they get along well, then we can start thinking about organizing a wedding for them! That way Aiden will have a complete family"

"Could it be that our son is willing to accept Shelly simply because he wants Aiden to have a family?" Elliot pondered, considering the significant difference in status between Shelly and their son.

"Even if that's the case, it's not a bad

thing! Our son is not someone who can't see reason. If he eventually realizes that he's not compatible with Shelly, he won't marry her. Let's see how well they get along first!"

"Okay. There's a tea room over there. Shall we go have some tea?" Elliot felt a bit hot and wanted to rest for a while.

"Sure. I'll think about what gift to give Shelly if they really become a couple," Avery said, feeling optimistic about the possibility of her son's relationship.
