Opps, I broke your bone
“What?” Alex asked, grabbing her shoulder. “We had a child?”
She nodded and averted her gaze. “He’s five years old now and a sweet little boy.”
Alex took his hand off her shoulder and ran it through his own hair. He inhaled deeply. “I’m sorry, Jenica. I wasn’t there when you needed me.” Alex swore softly and closed his eyes firmly. “I shouldn’t have stopped looking for you then. It’s my fault. I’m sorry, wife.”Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
Jenica bit her lower lip and glanced down when he said it. “I should be the one saying sorry…”
“No. I was a coward before so I didn’t introduce you to my family. I shouldn’t have hidden the fact that we’re married, Jenica.” Alex said with a sigh and pulled her in a tight hug. “I’m sorry. I was afraid that you would get entangled in my family’s trouble and I intend to introduce you to them when I have solved who wants to bring down the Fuego family. I don’t want anyone threatening my wife’s life. But I underestimated those bastards.”
Jenica shut her eyes. Her feelings for Alex were even more confusing. She enjoys being in his arms, but she is scared of what would happen if she jumps off the cliff entirely. Alexander Fuego is a dangerous man she will never be able to defeat.
However, this is also the only person who can assist her in locating Sham. She’ll acknowledge it. Despite the fact that she has many connections outside the country as a result of her secret identities, there are still locations and worlds in politics and business that she failed to visit. Alex will show her how far a Fuego can rise in high society.
Alex’s lips touched the side of her head. “Where is he? I want to see our child.”
Jenica’s happy feelings vanished like a bubble. Reality struck her right away.
She pushed Alex and lowered her gaze. “I lost him.”
“What?”
Her vision was fuzzy due to the impending tears, but she stopped crying in front of him. “Sham was kidnapped. I tried everything to find him but I don’t have enough influence to do so.” She turned to gaze at Alex. “That’s why I’m asking for your help. Please find our son!”
Alex gave her a brief look before asking. “Are you deceiving me again, Jenica?”
“No!” she exclaimed, wiping her damp cheek. “Why would I?”
Alex took a deep breath and reached into his pocket for his phone. He spoke to someone for a while before looking at her with a stiff jaw. “I’ll choose to believe you this time, wife, and I hope you won’t let me down again,” Alex stated before turning and leaving the room.
Jenica shut her eyes tightly and took another deep inhale. She chuckled bitterly and grinned. Of course, Alex isn’t going to believe her immediately now because he knows she’s been keeping a lot from him. That man is wary.
But, c’mon, what the hell! Why, of all times, would he be wary now that Sham needs help!
She cursed several times before dialing Carlos’ number. Jenica summoned the man to her room so that they could discuss what they would do the next day and how they would return the child.
Carlos walked in, carrying the sleeping child. The man scratched the back of his neck and smiled cruelly. “He doesn’t want to sleep in my room, Agent J. That’s why I brought him here.”
“Put him on the bed,” she murmured as she sat in the chair across from the center table.
Carlos did as she said and was about to approach her when the door opened and Alex walked in as if he owned the place. Carlos approached the newcomer swiftly and exchanged blows with her husband.
Her teeth clenched. “Kaloy, enough!” But Carlos didn’t give up and continued to roundhouse kick Alex. The latter defended himself swiftly and looked at her accusingly.
Well… Jenica gulped. What exactly does he mean by that terrifying glare?
She sat back in her chair, arms folded. She has no intention of stopping her sidekick from beating Alex right now. How could he look at her as if she killed his son?
Carlos had defeated her husband, who was now laying on the floor, just as she had predicted. Carlos asked, looking at Jenica breathlessly. “What to do with this intruder, Doctor Acinea?”
As Alex lay gasping on the floor, Jenica glanced at him with narrowed eyes. Carlos seemed to have done no real harm and simply ensured that Alex could not recuperate for some time. She expelled air.
“He’s Alexander Fuego,” she stated, reaching for the water on the table and taking a sip.
“Alexander Fuego?” Carlos hastily took the phone from his pocket and ran a fast search. His eyes widened and he gaped after a time. He screamed, “The owner of the Fuego Empire?”
Jenica gave a nod. “Surprise?” she exclaimed. She even laughed to mock her sidekick, who always let his fist speak first.
“Sh*t!” Carlos swiftly assisted Alex in standing properly. “You did not introduce yourself, Sir. I apologize for the punch in the face. I’ll cover the hospital bill —”
“Do you think I can’t afford to pay my hospital bill? Who are you, bastard?” Alex demanded fiercely, firmly withdrawing his arm from Carlos. “Are you attempting to kidnap my wife –”
Jenica interrupted Alex, saying, “That’s my assistant Kaloy.”
“What are your plans with her?” Alex asked, his gaze narrowing at Carlos. “Speak up or I’ll cut your tongue off!”
“What plan do I have?” Carlos fake-laughed and raised his hand saying, “Bro, chill. I didn’t intend to hit you.”
“All right, enough drama.” Jenica stood up and was ready to approach the two when the child on the bed began to cry.
She rushed up to the kid. He appeared to be having a nightmare. Jenica tenderly sang to him while patting his small butt. She motioned to the two guys not to make any noise after ensuring that the youngster had fallen asleep again.
But Alex had been suppressing his own rage. “Is that the child Sham you’re referring to, Jenica? And you have the audacity to claim he’s my son when he’s actually this bastard’s son?” he asked, clenching his teeth and pointing at Carlos.
Carlos opened his eyes and raised both hands. “That’s not my son,” he said flatly.
Alex gave a mocking smirk before turning to face Carlos. “Tell me how you fucked my wife, you bastard! And you got her pregnant?”
“W-Wife? P-Pregnant?” Carlos remarked coldly before breaking out in a cold sweat. What kind of wife? Even if the chief agent kneels in front of him, he will not marry Agent J. He may die without knowing how!
When he looked across at Agent J, her face was darker than the butt of the pot he used in the previous mission. Carlos faked a laugh and then walked away. “Looks like you made a mistake. Doctor Acinea is not my wife!”
Alex grabbed Carlos’ clothing and lifted him by the collar. “Did you enjoy f*cking my wife, huh? F*ck you!” Alex stomped on Carlos’s face. The latter quickly dropped. Alex continually stomped and kicked him.
Carlos writhed in anguish as he rolled away.
Sh*t! Who says Alexander Fuego is prim and proper and has no fighting experience? That fist is much bigger than their head agent’s! It was only one strike, but it felt like a hundred fists punched him in the face!
Alex took an immense breath and smiled at Jenica, who was standing next to him. The woman took a step back. Alex, how did he thrash her assistant like that?
“You!” exclaimed Jenica. “What do you think you’re doing?!” she said, looking at Carlos, who was shivering on the floor. “You beat up my assistant? Do you know that he still has work tomorrow? Who will assist me then?!” She cried out, furious.
Alex took a step closer to her. Jenica retreated till her feet slipped and she fell onto the sofa. Jenica’s heart raced faster as she glanced at Alex, whose face was barely a hair’s breadth away from hers.
She swiftly returned her attention to Carlos. “Stand up and get out of here! Bring that child!” she yelled. Despite his pained expression, the assistant instantly carried out her instructions.
Alex reached for her dress strap, but she swiftly snatched his hand. “Stop fooling around!” she exclaimed.
“Huh.” The man moved his face closer to hers. “You are mine, Jenica. Don’t let any bastard strip you! Only I have that right! You understand?”
Jenica noticed Carlos exiting the room with the youngster out of the corner of her eye. She switched her focus to Alex, whose expression was still gloomy, when she was certain the two were gone.
Jenica grinned. “Do you think I’ll be the same submissive wife? Dream on!”
She pushed him to the ground at that point. Alex held her and turned them around. Jenica eventually found herself on top of the man.
As she tugged on his necktie, a smile formed on her lips. When Alex’s lips parted, she laughed. “I’m still in charge of this situation,” she added as she licked her lips.
She knelt down and held the thing between his thighs. Alex’s pupils constricted and his jaw clenched. Jenica laughed once more. “Look at you, honey. You still like my touch, don’t you?” She stroked it again before letting go. Her smile vanished, and she quickly bound his two hands with his necktie.
Alex smirked. “What are you doing?”
She withdrew from above him and proceeded to the center table to retrieve the glass of water she had left behind earlier. She gulped it down her mouth rapidly. Jenica could feel her cheeks getting hot.
Alex couldn’t walk five years ago, so when it came to bed, Jenica was the dominant one. Others regard her as a “submissive wife,” but as night falls, she ties Alex to the bed and expects him not to complain. Those were wild and passionate nights. She lowered her gaze.
She hasn’t slept with her husband in a couple years. Even if she tries to push it out of her mind, she can’t deny that she misses his touch.
Someone placed an arm around her waist without warning. She instinctively elbowed that person and flung him on his back in one rapid motion.
*Bang!*
Alex collapsed on the floor, his face darkening even more. The force of the fall pained his back. Oh, no. He only wants to hug Jenica, but why is it so difficult?
“Err… Sorry,” Jenica said quietly as she attended to her husband. “Don’t surprise me so I don’t hurt you.” She examined his body. “Oops, it looks like I broke your bone. Hold on, I’ll call an ambulance,” she teased, reaching for the phone on the side.
