A few days later at Davis & Co.

"Miss Davis, Mr Kingsley is here to see you," Hannah reported through the intercom.

Lora frowned. 'Ryan is here? What does he want now?

"Has he told you what he wants?" Lora asked. She wasn't in the mood to entertain Ryan.

"He said it's about the upcoming jewelry launch party," Hannah reported.

Lora bit her lower lip. She replied, "Let him through."

Since she had promised to help with the project, she couldn't send Ryan back if he was here to talk about work.

A few minutes later, Ryan walked into Lora's office and took a seat opposite her. He glanced at Lora and his heart skipped a beat.

He always felt she looked attractive when working. She wore a pastel pink feminine suit with her dark brown hair was left to flow on one side of her shoulder. "How can I help you, Mr Kingsley?" Lora asked, very aware of Ryan's heated gaze on her.

Why was he looking at her like that?

Ryan blinked to clear his head. He said, "I've been preparing the launch party lately and I'm confident your designs will help the company gain popularity."

Lora nodded and remarked haughtily, "Of course, they will. You have designs created by Miss L herself." Ryan let out a low chuckle. He reached for the inside pocket of his navy-tailored suit and took out an invitation card before placing it on the table.

"I came to personally invite you to the launch party," Ryan remarked.

Lora arched an eyebrow. Ryan Kingsley was delivering an invitation card himself? Wasn't he busy?

"You could have sent your assistant, Mr Kingsley," Lora pointed out..

"No... you're our VIP guest, so I came to invite you myself," Ryan replied, a smirk playing on his lips.

The truth was that he wanted an excuse to see Lora, and sending the invitation card to her was the perfect opportunity.

Lora didn't believe Ryan but she didn't call him out on it. She picked up the invitation card and said, "I'll definitely attend. I would like to see my work on display."

A thought suddenly occurred to Lora. The event would have high-profile people. If Bianca could attend, she could get a lot of deals to work with their companies. The exposure would help her modelling career

too.

Looking at Ryan, Lora asked, "Can I have an extra invitation card?"

Ryan frowned and questioned, "Why?"

'Is she trying to get another card for Jason?' Ryan thought in his mind.

Anger and jealousy surged through him. He shook his head and muttered, "No. Not everyone is eligible to attend my launch party. I can't just give out invitations to any Jim and Jack."

Before Lora could respond, Ryan got to his feet and left her office angrily.

Lora, "....."

'Why is he so angry? He could have just said he no longer has invitation cards to give out,' Lora mused, confused by Ryan's reaction.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Adan walked into the Maddie's sports apparel store and walked towards the area where he could hear clicks of cameras.

A smile crossed his lips when he saw Bianca making several pauses as the photographer took pictures of her. She was wearing the latest tennis attire and Adan couldn't help but think she looked hot. The way the short dress hugged her figure... her long milky legs. She was the epitome of beauty... her blonde hair was pulled into a pony tale, exposing her beautiful neck. Adan was mesmerised by this woman as though he was seeing her for the first time.

Ever since their brief encounter at the clothing store that day, he couldn't seem to take her off his mind. When the shoot was over, Bianca felt a heated gaze on her. She turned and frowned when she saw Adan who appeared to have been watching her for some time. Adan smiled and approached her before saying, "Wow... I never knew you're this good at what you do."

Bianca arched an eyebrow. She questioned, "What are you doing here? Were you watching me like a creep?"

"You're mistaken, Bianca. This is my store.... Maddie's is named after my sweet mother," Adan answered. Bianca blushed. She cleared her throat and said, "It may be yours but I saw you watching me. Why?"

"Yes, I was making sure the ads are being done properly," Adan smirked.

He suddenly took out a card and gave it to Bianca before adding, "And since I liked your work, here's an invitation card to LAN's Luxurious Jewelry launch party, I would like you to come with me."

Bianca got the card and looked at it. She arched an eyebrow and asked, "Why would you invite me?" Eyeing him suspiciously, she asked again, "What do you want from me?"

Adan simply smirked and answered, "You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in the city... So, I want you to be my plus one."

Bianca's eyebrows creased. Adan wasn't lacking when it came to women. He had a dozen to choose from if he needed someone to accompany him. So how come he invited her? +25 BONUS

Knowing Adan was Ryan's best friend, Bianca couldn't help but question Adan's purpose for approaching her. What was he playing at?

"It's a good opportunity for you too... you will get to meet many people who would need your services," Adan said, getting the card from Bianca. "Just say yes and I'll pick you up."

Bianca looked into Adan's dark eyes, searching for something. Since she couldn't figure out what he wanted at the moment, she had no choice but to accept his invitation. "Fine, I'll attend the party with you," Bianca replied and a side smirk crossed Adan's lips.
