Chapter 1048

Chapter 1048 Suspension “You stole your buddy’s inheritance and had an affair with his wife. You sure have no shame, Kaze!” “You're just a loser who became the CEO because your wife pulled some strings. You're a scumbag. You make the company look bad.” “That’s right. Hudson Investment Firm is a multibillion-dollar business.

We are about to make a splash in the market, and the last thing we need is for you to ruin things for us.” The group of employees yelled at Kaze with their fingers up his nose.

Some were jealous of Kaze’s good fortune while others could not stand to watch him ruin the company.

Lo MAG Ad Given that they were elites in the financial world, the employees would not have a hard time finding another job.

They were more concerned about the company’s development because the profits were lucrative if they could manage just one investment proposal.

As Kaze destroyed the company’s reputation, the employees lashed out at him, even though he was the CEO.

They had experience under their belt, so they would be successful either way.

Kaze stood there calmly, knowing his explanation would not go anywhere.

The door to the elevator opened.

Jennifer, the deputy manager, walked out with several senior executives.

She frowned helplessly before pulling a straight face. She said curtly, “Mr. Lee, Ms. Scarlet got word from the headquarters to suspend you from your duties as the CEO.

“Before the dust settles, you can stay put in the company as a regular employee.” Kaze kept his cool, but the employees were not having it.

“Why? The jerk is only suspended from his CEO duties, but he gets to stay in the company. What is Ms. Scarlet thinking?” “It’s just a slap on the wrist. Why isn’t there consideration for the betterment

of the company?” The employees objected.

Jennifer glanced around and uttered coldly, “Get back to work. Don’t just believe everything you hear.” \ In just two days, Jennifer built prestige in the company.

Despite their reluctance, the employees dispersed.

Jennifer approached Kaze with a frown and said, “Ms. Scarlet wanted me to pass a message. She knows that you were framed. She suspended you temporarily to appease the employees. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“She has her own stress. She needs to show the boss at Perfect World Group that the company is profitable.”

The boss referred to the chairman of Perfect World Group, a.k.a him.

Kaze did not know how to react.

He himself was the reason he was suspended.

“Alright. Got it.” Kaze nodded.

Jennifer added, “Ms. Scarlet mentioned that we can figure out a way to let the matter rest. You will be reinstated as CEO once that happens.

“Now tell me. What on earth happened between you and Sherry?” Kaze shook his head. “Nothing much. I crossed a bitch. That's all.

“Stay out of this. I will handle the matter.”

Kaze then walked off.

He was better off leaving the place as f everybody at Hudson Investment Firm was against him.

“Where are you going?” Jennifer exclaimed in surprise behind him.

“To the mayor’s office.” Kaze disappeared at the door.

Jennifer furrowed her brows and shook her head. “You're hopeless. What's the point of counting on those people at the mayor’s office? They are only with you through thick and not thin.

“I doubt they will help you.” Jennifer was baffled by Miru’s tolerance toward Kaze.

Kaze was incompetent, making a fool of himself at an interview. He had

BRE a damaged the firm’s reputation.

Even though Kaze was the husband of Miru’s best friend, she did not have to put up with his shit.
