Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan)

Chapter 279

Chapter 279

Estelle panted heavily, shivering, clutching Jonathan’s shirt with such force that her fingers were white

and trembling.

“It’s okay, babe, everything is okay

now!” Jonathan gently stroked her hair and whispered reassurances.

Estelle closed

her eyes, gradually calming down, the red in front of her eyes fadingd into a warm yellow light.

She was drenched in sweat, and she lay limply in Jonathan’s arms.

For a long time, neither of them spoke, Jonathan just held her tightly, his arm gently cradling her head.

Estelle completely came back to reality and got up from Jonathan’s arms, looking pale but her voice ste Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

ady, “I’m fine, I just… had a dream!”

Ever since she had been together with Jonathan, she hadn’t dreamed about

them for a long time, and even

when she had, it was the image of the seven of them fighting side by side and ultimately winning.

She had automatically blocked

out the scene of Tyrannosaurus and the others dying, and had never dreamed of that place before.

Perhaps it was

because she saw Xavier today, her Sniper, that brought her back to that scene that haunted her for a lif

etime.

“What kind of dream?” Jonathan cupped her face, curious about what kind of dream would send her int

o an emotional outburst and scare her like

that.

Estelle’s eyes looked a bit lost. In fact, on the day they were surrounded, she wasn’t afraid. She was ju

st angry and vengeful, killing until she felt a crazy pleasure, thinking that dying with Tyrannosaurus and

the others maybe was the best ending for them.

But in the dream, when she went back to that warehouse, watching Wolf and Tyrannosaurus die, she w

as so panicked and frightened.

It was as if she knew in her heart that she would survive, but they had really died!

Estelle leaned her head on Jonathan’s shoulder and spoke hoarsely, “I don’t want to talk about it.”

Jonathan thought she had dreamt

of her abusive childhood, so he didn’t press further, just kissed her cheek softly, whispering, “It’s all in t

he past, I’m here now.”

Estelle hugged him tightly, feeling it was not enough, as if she wanted to embed herself into his body, m

urmuring his name, “Jonathan!”

Jonathan’s heart suddenly ached a bit, and he hugged her tightly in return.

“Don’t be afraid, I’ll be with you from now on.”

Two days later was Norah’s birthday. Instead of keeping a low

profile, Norah decided to have a birthday party at

home, inviting some classmates she got along with well.

One of the classmates didn’t know that Norah and Nicolas had broken up and called Nicolas, jokingly a

sked, “what surprise have you prepared for Norah’s birthday? Do you need our help?”

Nicolas hadn’t left home for a few days. Glancing at Leah lying in the bedroom, he went to the balcony t

o answer the phone, pretending to be troubled, “I haven’t decided where to celebrate it yet.”

“Really?” The classmate checked the information on the phone, “Isn’t it at the Willow Way villa area? Di

dn’t you rent that place for Norah?” Some well–off students in the group would rent

villas for their birthday parties. Norah had sent them an address in a villa complex, so they all thought N

icolas had worked hard and earned money to rent a swanky

villa, Intending to give Norah a memorable birthday.

Nicolas hesitated for a moment, awkwardly laughing, “We’re still discussing it. I didn’t know Norah sent

you the address. Can you send it to me to check?”

The classmate hung up and sent the address to Nicolas.

Nicolas wondered what Norah’s intention was with renting a villa

for her birthday party. Was it just to show off to him?

The Burke family was finished –

their company went bankrupt, their villa and car would soon to be sold at auction to pay off

debts. Nicolas didn’t get promoted, still had to support Leah, and he didn’t want to be the fall guy he wa

nted to win back Norah.

Norah was from J City, although not as wealthy as Leah, but judging from her usual clothing, she was

still well–off. If he wanted to stay in J City, being with Norah was the more reliable choice.

With a plan in mind, on Norah’s birthday, Nicolas found and wore the clothes Norah

had given him when they were dating, and took a taxi to the address where Norah had her birthday
