Chapter 251
Chapter 251
“What should we eat tonight?” Norah Lamont twirled her eyes, “Steak? Sushi? Or BBQ?”
Sometimes Estelle Macclain felt that Norah was so down–to– earth that she didn’t seem like a rich girl from a wealthy family at all. She wasn’t pretentious like those
celebrities, and she could enjoy a happy meal even those hole–in–the–wall places.
Maybe that was why Nicolas had been dating her for so long but he never thought she’d be the daught
er of the Lamont family.
In the end, they went to a barbecue restaurant that Nicolas had chosen.
When Estelle and Norah arrived at the BBQ place, it was still early and there weren’t many customers.
They chose a spot by the window and waited for Nicolas.
About half an hour later, Nicolas arrived. With a guest.
Estelle’s eyes darkened when she saw Leah. How dare Nicolas brazenly bring Leah in front of Norah?
Was he ready to come clean with Norah?
Norah saw Nicolas first and quickly got up to greet him, shouting happily, “Nicolas, we’re over here!”
Nicolas came over and introduced Leah to Norah, he looked a bit uneasy for a moment, “Norah, this is
my cousin, Leah.”
“Leah, this is my girlfriend, Norah,”
Estelle, “……”
She wasn’t particularly versed in matters of the relationship, so she was quite baffled
by Nicolas‘ actions.
Norah was also a bit dumbfounded, wondering how come Nicolas suddenly had a cousin that he’d nev
er mentioned before. However, she still politely reached out her hand, “Nice to meet you!”
Leah was dressed in designer clothes, carrying a limited edition LV bag, sporting a huge ruby necklace
around her neck and matching earrings. Her wrist was adorned with a diamond bracelet. At first glance,
one might think she looked like a Christmas tree coming to life.
Estelle was almost blinded by the glare of the jewelry.
Leah, as if she didn’t see Norah’s hand reaching out, clung to Nicolas arm
and snuggled up to him sweetly, “I’ve always heard my cousin talk about you, and I’ve been wanting to
meet you, so I came along today. You don’t mind, do you?”
Norah withdrew her hand, watching Leah practically drape herself over Nicolas, her smile faltered, “Of
course not, the more the merrier.”
Nicolas looked somewhat embarrassed, discreetly pushing Leah away
and turning to Estelle, “And you are?”
He hadn’t recognized Estelle from the dimly lit private room last night, where she had been
the waitress who delivered the drinks.
Norah introduced them, “This is my classmate, Estelle.”
Before Nicolas could say anything, Leah suddenly tugged on his sleeve, whining in a cutesy voice, “Let’
s eat, I’m starving!”
Feeling guilty, Nicolas glanced at Norah and quickly said, “Okay, I’ll have the waiter take our order.”
As they sat down, Leah naturally took Nicolas‘ arm and sat next to him, while Norah and Estelle sat acr
oss from them.
When they started ordering, Leah picked up the menu
and began pointing at various items, “I want this, and this, and this…” Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
After rambling off a bunch of dishes, she handed
the menu to the waiter, “That’s it, that should be enough.”
Nicolas quickly grabbed the menu and handed it to Norah, “Norah, you and
your friend go ahead and order a few more dishes that you like.”
Leah pretended to be suddenly enlightened, covering her mouth and saying, “Sorry, it’s just that
my cousin and I have always come here to eat, so I am used to ordering dishes for two people.”
Norah looked at Nicolas, “Weren’t you working overtime recently?”
