Please, stay
She picked up her phone and went through the text. After reading it, she decided she wouldn’t reply to the text. At that moment, she wished it was Nathan doing all that then just maybe she might have goosebumps from it. She decided to not see Adrian anymore and focus on herself with hopes that she will find Nathan or he will miss her enough to return to her.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
With that, she dropped her phone and went to sleep. While she slept, Thorpes and Harriet prepared dinner together. They wanted Demelza to have enough rest because she had not properly rested since she returned from the hospital.

“Hey, Mel, come have dinner.” Thorpes said to his daughter softly rubbing her cheek.
She slowly opened her eyes and turned to look at her dad.
“Dinner is ready, we’ll be waiting for you.” Thorpes said to her and left a peck on her cheek.
Demelza yawned lazily before standing up to go downstairs for dinner. Dinner went by fast and Demelza’s parents retired for the day leaving Demelza in the living room.
After sitting there for a while, she felt restless and went to sit on the front porch to clear her thoughts and enjoy fresh air too.
While she sat, she reflected on a lot of things and also decided to look out for companies hiring.
Demelza’s eyes widened in surprise as she reached for her phone and realized she hadn’t read the content of the text last night correctly due to her clouded mind, nor seen the sender.
Her hands began trembling when she tried to read the text again from Allison. Her lips parted slightly and her eyebrows furrowed as she read on, leaving her emotions to flicker between excitement and worry as she clutched her phone.
‘He is very sick and I just thought you should know. He is with me now until he recovers. The address is…’ she read on.
Demelza stayed in the spot for a few seconds and in reflex, she rushed upstairs to her room and changed her clothes. She hastily put down a note for her parents and dropped it on the dining table as she rushed out.
She took a cab to the location Allison had added at the bottom of the text. Immediately she got there, she stopped at the door and took a deep breath before going in.
Allison has added that she will leave the door open for her so she didn’t bother ringing the doorbell. She walked in slowly and shut the door behind her. She looked around but there was no one.
She walked further into the house and her heart fell when she saw Nathan squeezed in on the bed. She walked to him and sat on the bed using the back of her palm to feel his forehead.
She exclaimed feeling how hot his temperature is. She got up from the bed and rushed to the bathroom to get a soaked towel to place on his forehead.
She stroked his hair in a very gentle and soothing way before going to the kitchen to see what was there to give to him. After looking into the cupboards and cabinets in the kitchen, she finally found some herbs for tea.
She looked at it carefully and read through it to be sure it was safe for him to take. She prepared the tea as fast as she could and went back to the room to give it to him. When she got back to the room she gently dropped the cup of tea on the side stool before helping him to sit up.
She gently lifted him up and placed a pillow behind him to support him while he sat. She slowly fed him with the tea with hopes that it would be efficient. This was the closest thing to drugs that she could give to him because Allison included that he refused to go to the hospital.
Nathan slowly opens his eyes and just then does it strike him that it wasn’t Allison feeding. All along he refused to open his eyes, feeling sure that Allison was the one caring for him. The change of scent was what prompted him to open his eyes. The scent smelled so familiar but he didn’t want to believe that it was who he thought it was.
“Leave,” He said harshly, being unappreciative.
“No, I came to help you. I’ll leave when you get better. ” Demelza responded.
” I don’t need your help, I can take care of myself.” Nathan stressed with so much pride laced on his voice.
“I can see that.” she responded.
Just then he retched, which made her rush to get the retch-bag close to him but he puked before she got back to the bed.
She stood frustrated with the thoughts of having to clean up his vomit right after he was being rude. She shrugged her shoulders and went ahead to clean up the place.
After cleaning up the place, Demelza wiped his face with a soaked towel creating a relief for Nathan. She helped him lay down and she adjusted the cover tucking them in place. She looked at him for a while before placing a kiss on his forehead.
“Don’t go, please stay,” Nathan begged, holding her by the arm with his eyes closed.
His fever was getting high making his temperature higher. Demelza smiled, feeling happy that she got to take care of him at a time like this.
She laid down beside him and held him, providing the comfort he needed at the time. She could feel his body burning up but she felt rest assured because she knew that the tea she had fed him would help him get better.
Though she remembered he threw up which meant that she would prepare another one for him later.
After a few minutes of lying beside him, she could feel him sweating which made her get up from the bed to clean up his body with a wet towel.
While she was at it, Nathan opened his eyes and shit it back but he opened it again to be sure he saw her well. His high fever earlier did not let him understand what was really going on.
“What are you doing here?”He asked her, raising his head up and his eyes wide from rage.
“Er_” Demelza stuttered.
“Can’t you speak?” He asked her, raising his voice but he groaned from a throbbing headache.
“Don’t talk, please rest your head on the pillow.” Demelza urged him as she helped him lay back gently.
Nathan’s heart melted as he watched her care for him without minding how he spoke to her.
