Chapter 30 Compromise
Chapter 30 Compromise
The next day, Viola got up early and politely called Travis. Travis said that he would come to the Shaws
Group to sign the contract. Viola drove to the Shaws Group humming a song.
As she walked out of the elevator, she saw the secretaries were busy. In the rest area, Leonard leaned
on the sofa. Sucy was speaking to him, trembling, but he stared out of the window.
"Good morning, Mr. Shaws, last night I talked with Travis, he promised to give us 20% of the shares of
Wang Yang Electronic, and 60% of the profit at home and abroad, you have to raise my salary!"
The sound of Viola's melodious voice rang out. She strode over and stuffed her bag to Sucy, sat on the
opposite side of Leonard.
Leonard still smiled. Hearing that, he asked, "Really?"
The atmosphere was wrong. Viola immediately looked at Sucy, who seemed to have swallowed her
words.
"What happened?" Viola stopped her smile and sat straight.
Leonard looked away and continued to stare out of the window, "Nothing, but the news this morning is
very interesting. Sucy, show her."
Sucy gnashed her teeth and handed over the tablet. Viola took a look. There were two key pieces of
information: the first was that Viola was vice president of the Shaws Group, and the second was that
Viola had an affair with Steven.
Viola suddenly understood that Leonard's displeasure was obviously due to the latter. However, since
she already announced to the world she had an affair with Steven last night, she had already thought
about how to deal with it.
"I know, Mr. Shaws, let’s talk inside. Sucy, you get to work first." Viola got up and politely made way for
Leonard.
Sucy, carrying the tablet, watched Viola walking into the office with worry. Mr. Shaws must be angry!
The door of the president’s office was closed with a click. Leonard stood at the table and took out blue
Mountain coffee and tea. "Coffee or tea?"
"Coffee, please." Viola sat opposite Leonard, seemingly relaxed, but she was like an arrow on the
tightened bow.
After three years getting along with Leonard, Viola understood that Leonard would never tell her
everything. No matter how they two people behaved like friends, it was just a kind of comfortable way
for them to get along. Their relationship with interests had never changed.
So Leonard’s query was reasonable, after all, the Shaws family was an enemy to the Chambers family.
"Do you still remember what I said when I promised to help you?" Leonard said without looking up,
while making coffee.
"Yes, you said that no matter what I do, I shall take the Shaws Group's interests into consideration. If I
go back on my words, you will mercilessly punish me..."
"All right, have a drink."
Leonard did not want to hear the next words. He passed her the coffee cup.
The new morning light scattered the whole office, causing halo over his slender figure. His looked
elegant and gentle, but Viola knew he never showed his mood easily.
" Steven and I, it is not like what the news said." Viola explained, holding her coffee cup.Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
