Darling, Please Love Me Again! (Gisele Meyer)

Chapter 59

Chapter 59

Smack!

Gisele gave Dorian such a hard slap that her palm went numb from the contact.

Dorian’s l*p cracked from the impact, and as he ran the tip of his tongue over the inside of his m*uth, he tasted the metallic tang of blood. The vein on his forehead pulsed, and the emotions in his eyes were so complex that no one could tell what exactly he was feeling.

Gisele was stunned by her own actions. Had she just slapped Dorian?

It wasn’t until Dorian wrapped his fingers around her neck that she snapped back to reality. Then, she

flashed him the most beautiful smile.

“Have you ever thought what Sierra would think of you when you say something like that?”

“Are you planning to tell on me?” Dorian asked as he tightened his grip around her neck.

Gisele grabbed his hand, trying to pry it off her. But he was too strong for her, and she was no match for him. She only managed to force out several words in a strained voice.

“I… What rights have I got to do that? I was under the influence of drugs that day. Can you–can you say the

same for yourself?”

An image of what happened that day suddenly popped up in Dorian’s mind. He loosened his grip on and an awkward expression crossed his face.

Gisele.

She fell to the ground and began coughing violently. She looked like she was about to hack her lungs out. Nothing but the sound of her coughs were heard in the silent hallway.

After the bout of coughing finally passed, Gisele raised her head and smiled. “Dorian, I won’t hold you accountable for what happened that night. But please do not go overboard, or I really wouldn’t mind letting her know just how filthy you are!”

Dorian fixed a piercing gaze on Gisele. “She really articulated herself well, didn’t she?” he thought.

An inexplicable sense of fury rose within him. This was the first time he was experiencing both anger and

embarrassment at the same time.

He felt even more disgruntled by how Gisele was looking into his eyes without any intention of averting.

her gaze.

“Grandfather asked for you to go home at noon tomorrow,” Dorian said as he looked away. Then, without even so much as a backward glance, he turned and left.

Gisele exhaled in relief. But at the same time, she wondered why Declan was looking for her, and why he got Dorian to convey her the message.

Gisele was so tired that her mind was blank. She was too tired to give it any more thought, so she turned

and went back inside the apartment.

Gisele and Angie had bought the place when they first started working. Though it wasn’t a huge place, it was enough for the both of them. According to Angie, this would be their safe haven if ever they had a disagreement with their respective husbands.

Gisele cleaned the place up. She had an urge to question Dorian earlier on, but she refrained from doing so. There was no point dwelling on something that was already set in stone.

At 11:00 am the next morning, Gisele showed up at the Jefferson villa in a flowery dress. She looked really sweet and demure with her dark, glossy hair hanging over her shoulders.

“Ms. Gisele, you’re back,” Alfred greeted her cheerfully.

Gisele responded with a smile and followed him into the living room. Unexpectedly, there were other guests there.

Besides Declan, Zayla, and Celeste, there was an old lady, a middle–aged woman, and several young ladies with them. They all seemed to be in good spirits.

“Mr. Jefferson, Ms. Gisele is back,” Alfred announced at the door. From NôvelDrama.Org.

Everyone’s eyes fell on Gisele. The few ladies whom she’d never met before sized her up.

One of the young ladies, Felicity Palmer, who was in a blue dress, said sarcastically, “Ms. Celeste, didn’t you say that Sierra McMillan, the genius doctor, is your daughter–in–law? Well, who’s this then?”

Celeste’s expression hardened, and she glared at Gisele with hatred. What was she doing here at such a

time?

Just then, a car pulled up at the door. Dorian and Sierra got out of the car and strode in.

When Declan saw Sierra, his face fell right there and then.

“Don, why have you brought this woman home? Do you wish to see me dead? Is that what you’re trying to achieve by angering me like this?”

The moment Sierra caught sight of Gisele, she blanched instantly. Why was she here too?
