Darling, Please Love Me Again! (Gisele Meyer)

Chapter 12

Chapter 12

“Of course! The chicken potato soup was carefully made with the best ingredients I could. find,” Gisele answered. “As for the chicken in the soup..

She paused and glanced at him with a meaningful look. “You’ve seen how lively it was before it became your food.”

Dorian’s face darkened even more after she gave her reasoning. The chicken potato soup this time didn’t have the light golden hue it usually had.

A layer of fat from the chicken floated on the surface. He could see specks of what seemed to be blood from the chicken in the soup.

When he looked closer, he could also see the quills of chicken feathers still stuck to some pieces of chicken skin.

Was this even edible?

“You don’t seem to like this soup, I guess. I’ll cook something else next time then,” said Gisele. “Why don’t you try the oatmeal porridge?”

She took the bowl of chicken potato soup away and came back with a bowl of oatmeal porridge. She placed it in front of him.

The oatmeal porridge seemed much better than the soup. It looked edible.

“You should give it a try first,” said Dorian as he stared at the porridge dubiously.

Gisele lifted an eyebrow. She didn’t utter a single word.

She scooped a spoonful of porridge from the bowl and gently blew on it before finishing it in one gulp. Gisele smiled as she swallowed. It looked like she was enjoying the porridge.

Sure that there was nothing wrong with the porridge, Dorian let his guard down and started eating.

After taking just one spoonful of it, he spat it out.

Coughing non–stop, he asked, “Gisele! What the hell did you put in this porridge?”

He would usually look dashing and all, but at that moment, he looked simply hilarious.

Gisele couldn’t understand why he was so pissed. With a stern look, she explained, “I used the best fruits and nuts we have when I prepared this, but the berries were too sweet.” All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.

She added, “That was why I added some bitter gourds to it. Didn’t you say you don’t like

sweet things?”

The last question sounded rhetorical, yet she managed to make it sound like she was really confused about it all.

It seemed like she had prepared all this after taking into account Dorian’s health. But for some reason, he exuded a particularly foreboding air.

“You,” he said threateningly. “Finish this.”

He stood up, his face as stern as could be, and moved so that she could sit on his chair.

“Are you serious?” Gisele asked in an incredulous tone.

Dorian nodded. He stood beside her with his l*ps pursed. The look on his face said that if she couldn’t finish the porridge, he would make sure that she wouldn’t make it out of there alive.

“I won’t hold back then.” Gisele had a smile on her l*ps as she started gulping down the porridge that she had taken an hour to make.

The ingredients she had used to make the porridge were all top–notch. Even the bitter gourds she had used were imported.

It was a shame that Dorian couldn’t appreciate food of such high quality.

He stared at her intently as she finished the porridge so as not to miss any change in her expression.

He was waiting to lash out at her if she showed even the slightest trace of a wince. Unfortunately for him, she gobbled up the porridge as if she was enjoying herself a lot.

She made it look like the porridge wasn’t bitter in the least. It made him wonder if there was something wrong with his taste buds.

While he was dazed, Gisele finished a small bowl of the porridge.

“Should I continue?” Gisele asked, waving the now–empty bowl in her hand.

Dorian snapped out of his daze. The look on his face shifted several times before he finally said, “Have another bowl of porridge, then come to the study to give me a foot massage!”

“Okay.” Gisele nodded without much of an expression.

Giving him a foot massage wasn’t that unusual anyway. After a day’s work or if Dorian got drunk, Jon would usually call Gisele and ask her to come over to give Dorian a foot massage.

Each time, she had taken some hangover medicine for Dorian. After giving him the medicine, she would proceed to give him a massage.

It would relieve the fatigue he felt and help to quickly get rid of the effects of a hangover. That way, he wouldn’t feel unwell when he woke up the other day.

She thought he had never known about it. Otherwise, why hadn’t he mentioned it once for the past three years?

She scooped herself another bowl of porridge and started eating It. Dorlan had returned to the study, leaving her alone in the dining room.

She ate spoon after spoon of the bitter porridge, yet she didn’t even wince once at the taste. It was as if she were a robot who couldn’t differentiate between tastes.

As bitter as the porridge was, it couldn’t beat the amount of bitterness and sorrow in her

heart.

Silent tears fell as she finished the food. Jessie, who had been cleaning up the kitchen, noticed this and couldn’t stop herself from sighing.

Gisele was simply too pitiful!

After gobbling up all of the porridge, Gisele sat in a daze for quite some time.

Dorian waited for her upstairs for so long that he almost lost his cool. He was about to head downstairs when she entered the study in her loungewear.

Her eyes were a little red, like she’d been crying before she came upstairs, but she smiled at

him.

“You should go and shower so that you won’t feel so tired anymore,” she said with a smile. That way, you’d feel more comfortable during the massage.”

She looked sincere when she said that. It was as if they had gone back in time.

Raising an eyebrow, Dorian went to the bathroom to shower.

When he was done, Gisele had already prepared a basin for his foot bath. She took his hands.

and led him to the bed.

After he sat on the side of the bed, she told him to put his feet into the basin and asked if the temperature of the water was just right.

Her hands were slightly cool to the touch. When he glanced at her, she looked like nothing had ever happened between them.

She was simply focused on doing the task at hand. She had prepared the ingredients for his foot bath herself. This time, she had added a little bit of something.

She had added in some nourishing herbs that could improve a person’s s**ual functions.

He liked Sierra so much. Surely he wouldn’t want to embarrass himself in bed and make her look down on him when the time came, right?

A sliver of misery flashed across Gisele’s eyes when this thought struck her.

She and Dorian had been married for three years, yet they had never slept on the same bed

before.

Ten minutes later, Dorian felt comfortable and warm all over.

“Lie down,” Gisele said in a business–like tone.

Dorian sensed the displeasure in her tone, but she looked indifferent as if nothing was wrong. So, he didn’t resist.

He lay down on the bed while she kneeled down beside him. Looking at him from this angle, she could get a clear view of his abs and his V–line.

Playfully, she poked his abs with her cold fingers.

“Gisele!” Dorian called out. The coolness of her fingertips gave him quite a shock.

With his eyes narrowed at her, he pursed his l*ps. He had this cold, distant air about him that kept people away from him..

Dorian grabbed her wrist, which now held a bottle of essential oil, to stop her from poking him again.

The more Gisele tried to take advantage of him, the more serious she looked.

“What is it?” She pushed his hand away and opened the bottle. It contained a blend of dozens of herbs and was specially made to reduce fatigue.

After applying the essential oil, she started gently massaging his body.

Although he was at the office all the time for work, he had the figure of a model. It made her

feel safe.

It was a pity that this sense of security could never be hers.

A wave of forlornness swept through her heart. Some things had been decided from the start. It was useless, even if she forced him to stay by her side.

“Your abs need a good massage,” she said. “Especially here, on both sides. By massaging these two points, you can regulate endocrine–related conditions.”

Her voice was gentle when she spoke as she pressed gently on his lower abdomen.

Her hands were soft as she massaged the two acupuncture points she had mentioned. She was serious about giving him the massage, but she wouldn’t give up the chance to pull his leg too.

Her hands seemed to possess some sort of magical power. No matter where she touched him, it gave him the urge to do something bad to her.

Just as he realized this, his eyes fell on the hint of a smile on her l*ps.

In a swift motion, he pulled her down on the bed and pushed himself up so that he was right

above her.

He stared down at her. Through gritted teeth, he said, “You did that on purpose, didn’t you?

Since the meal earlier, she had pretended to obey his commands. But at the same time, she was doing this kind of thing to disgust him.

Gisele’s long eyelashes fluttered as she blinked. She was about to explain herself when they heard a woman’s sof yet shocked voice come from behind them.

“What are you two doing?”
