Chapter 604
Chapter 604
Hearing Kirk say this, Jude frowned again.
“Kirk, aren’t you asking the obvious? Eddy is a slow one. It took him nearly ten years to figure out
that he might like Caroline. If you stick your nose in, he might retreat!”
More importantly, there was no way Eddy could beat Kirk!
Kirk smiled and said, “I would back down in any other matter, but not this.”
These words were too familiar. So familiar that it made Jude ache. “Do you have to compete with
Eddy on this?”
Jude was so mad that he was shaking.
“That’s right,” Kirk said brazenly as he looked into Jude’s eyes.
Furious, Jude yelled, “Mr. Zellen!”
Simon, who had been waiting at the door, came in and said, “Yes, sir!”
“We’re going home!”
“Yes, sir.” Hearing this, Simon knew that their talk had failed. He quickly went up and helped
Jude out.
Once Jude left, Kirk slowly took a seat. His gaze was cold.
Sean came in from the room next door. He patted Kirk on the shoulder and said, “Now Mr.
Morrison Senior shouldn’t believe that you’re Caroline’s husband.”
Kirk seemed quite tired. “It will only hide the truth for a while. He will grow suspicious sooner or
later and keep investigating.”
Sean sighed in response. “You should have just told Caroline the truth about who you are. There
was no need for things to get to this point.”
Kirk looked at Sean like he was looking at a fool.
Sean awkwardly scratched his head. “By the way, how do you plan on dealing with Daphne?”
Kirk looked toward the door. “Of course, she should be given a taste of her own medicine.”
“I understand.”
He meant that Daphne would end up as she had tried to do to Caroline, when she had tried to shove Caroline off a mountain.
She would “fall” down and only be found days later.
“When are you going back?” With nothing amusing to watch anymore, Sean got up to leave.
Kirk lit a cigar and said, “Hold on.”
There was another problem that had yet to be solved.
“I’m leaving now.”
“Not so fast. Have you and Gwen gotten back together?”
Sean chuckled. “Not really. We’re just friends with benefits. Who knows when it will end? But it’s
quite alright like this. At least this way, I have time to slowly undo the knot in Gwen’s heart.”
Kirk let out a laugh. “Get lost then.”
Sean was chuckling as he left. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
Kirk watched him go, his forehead slightly wrinkled. It seemed that he was the only one who had
to suffer the bitterness of love.
“Charles.”
“I’m here, sir. Do you have any orders?”
The smoke from Kirk’s cigar drifted around Charles. “Have you contacted Marietta Weiss?”
Charles started to sweat. “Um… Sir, I haven’t managed to contact her. She seems to have changed
her number.”
Kirk’s eyes narrowed. “Then what about her address?”
“I also have not found it yet … But don’t worry, sir. I’ve already thought up an idea. Later, I’ll go see
the madam. She will surely know where Ms. Weiss lives!”
Kirk scoffed and bent down, his chin tilting up. “I think you’re in a rush to have the madam find
out!”
Charles‘ face became ashen in a second.
