LOVE BIRD
Elena immediately turned around and went back down to convey Devan’s message to her Daddy. Seeing Elena coming back down made Viero and Ivand curious. Both teenagers simultaneously asked questions. Elena had no intention of answering her two younger brothers’ questions. Instead, she lazily replied with a question of her own. The image of her soft bed, embracing her tired body, seemed to be calling out to her. But she had to be patient first because she had to deliver the message.
“Where’s Daddy?” Elena asked.
“He’s usual, having a date at the swimming pool,” replied Viero casually. Since Viero was the one who liked staying at home the most, it was no wonder he was the most familiar with their parents’ habits.
After school, Elena usually stayed in her room until the evening, while Ivand went out somewhere. It was typical of Viero to roam around the house to find his own activities.
Usually, their parents arrived home around 1 PM, prayed together, and then engaged in some activities as a couple. Swimming together, relaxing in the living room, or just enjoying time in the backyard. Even the housemaids preferred to pretend not to see rather than embarrass themselves by witnessing the behavior of the two teenagers, who behaved like teenagers in their teens.
Dragging her feet down the stairs, Elena grumbled. Why was her room on the top floor? To go back down certainly required strong energy and intention. When she was almost reaching her destination, the sound of laughter successfully stopped Elena in her tracks. Elena took a deep breath, preparing herself to witness another adult scene. Elena raised her chest to hold her breath for a moment, readying herself if she had to witness another adult scene. Elena continued her steps slowly. Despite her doubts, Elena continued walking. The relieved sigh escaped when she saw her parents only swimming together.
“Daddy, Uncle Devan said to activate your phone. Uncle Devan wants to talk about something important,” Elena said, now standing on the edge of the pool.
“Oh God, Daddy forgot about the promise with Devan and Mas Ardan,” Jeremy responded while moving to the side.
“Big Brother, how could you forget!” Vanessa added, also moving to the edge of the pool.
Before the love drama of her parents began, Elena hurried away. Her mind and thoughts were tainted enough. She didn’t want it to happen again. The incident from the other day was difficult for her to forget. The scene still often haunted her when she was alone in her room. Not to be hypocritical, although Elena felt disgusted and nauseous, the curiosity slowly crept into her heart. The questions ‘how does it feel? Why do her parents seem to enjoy it so much?’ kept recurring. Plus, yesterday she had watched a romance movie trailer with Citra and Melodi. So, the curiosity seemed to demand answers immediately.
While continuing to walk towards her room, Elena thought about something. She thought about someone she could talk to internally about the problems she was facing. Elena thought of meeting Nafla or Kia, her older cousins. They would surely be able to answer all her curiosity. But Elena suddenly felt hesitant about talking to Nafla. She was afraid that instead of getting a solution, she would be the subject of mockery. Nafla, who was super tomboy and feared by boys. Falling in love seemed like something Nafla had never experienced. So, how could Nafla answer her curiosity?
Not wanting to think about it too much, Elena took off her uniform, leaving only her underwear. With force, Elena threw herself onto her soft bed. Elena was captivated by the cool air produced by her room’s air conditioner. Not only that, but the softness of the bed seemed to massage her tired body, and shortly after, Elena fell asleep.
At 5 PM, Elena finally came down from her room. Only halfway down the stairs from her room, Elena heard a loud noise coming from the second floor, where her parents’ room, the family room, Daddy’s office, the living room, and the kitchen were located. Automatically, her two feet continued walking towards the source of the noise. Not wanting to join them right away, Elena turned towards the kitchen. She remembered her fruit soup, which surely was still left because she hadn’t eaten her share yet. Lost in thought, Elena forgot that the kitchen was located lower than where she was standing.
Instantly Elena’s eyes closed, preparing her body to sway to kiss the cold kitchen floor. But why was Elena greeted by a feeling of warmth instead of the cold floor she had imagined. Elena’s nose caught a citrus scent that she had liked for some time. Suddenly Elena remembered who the owner of the scent was.
“If you’re walking, be smart. Don’t brake El,” admonished the owner of the citrus scent.
Elena’s eyes immediately opened wide when she recognized who the owner of the voice was. Don’t ask how Elena’s heart is doing right now. The pounding disturbed Elena’s eardrums, who was still stunned. Devan laughed at Elena’s reaction, who was currently in his arms.
Because Elena never responded, Devan then snapped his fingers in front of Elena’s face to bring the girl back to consciousness while saying again, “El, this is Uncle Devan, not your Daddy.”
“Miss Elena, why Devan?” Endah, who had just entered the kitchen after drying the rags, was shocked when she saw Elena in Devan’s arms. Of course, Endah wouldn’t think anything of it because Devan had asked permission to use the bathroom. Apart from that, Elena hasn’t fallen in the kitchen just once.
Endah’s voice managed to interrupt Elena’s reverie. With nervousness and a red face, Elena broke away from Devan’s arms.
“El almost fell, luckily I was there, otherwise his face would have been dented,” answered Devan casually.
“Non El has often fallen here, sir,” chuckled Endah as she looked at Elena who was still silent.
Elena was so embarrassed and nervous that she went without a word to the source of the crowd at her house. A smile spread across Elena’s lips when she saw Kia and Nafla sitting under the carpet while the mothers sat on the sofa. Soon Devan followed behind him and sat back down with Ardan, Arfan and Jeremy of course.
The fathers finally chose to move to the terrace next to the house at the request of Arfan, who wanted to light a cigarette, while the teenage boys, who knows where they are now. As usual, the women gathered together while joking and talking about many things.
“Eh, El will graduate soon, right? Wow, does Daddy’s daughter want to become a student?” Layla teased, deliberately calling her ‘Daddy’s child’ even though Layla knew that Elena would feel annoyed if she was called that, even though it was a fact.
“Yes. But Daddy’s child will be out of the cage soon,” said Vanessa with a chuckle.
“Yeah, just keep making fun of El,” Elena was annoyed because she was the object of the women’s conversation.
“Lala, don’t you want a new car like El’s?” Layla offered her daughter.
“No Mami, Lala is already in love with the boy,” answered Nafla casually.
“Halah, boy again, boy again. Look for a boyfriend there, don’t take care of that motorbike for a long time,” continued Layla because she was annoyed with her daughter.
Since childhood, there has been no feminine side to Nafla at all. Layla’s only daughter has exactly the same hobbies as her twin sister. Automotive and Taekwondo enthusiast. Layla wants Nafla to be able to act like a normal girl who likes shopping, grooming, reading romance novels, and anything related to girls. But none of what Layla mentioned was included in Nafla’s list of hobbies. Layla sometimes gets dizzy thinking about her daughter. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
“Why is Mami making such a fuss? Besides, Ardan’s father said that we girls are not good at dating, Mami’s sin. Sin!” Nafla replied, reminding her even though in fact Nafla was just using it as an excuse. His mother’s nagging had become his daily diet. And that’s normal.
Kia, who was the most talkative among the girls, only smiled or laughed. This kind of atmosphere is always his favorite. Can gather with his extended family.
“From now on, you guys, mother and child, will never give in!” responded Vanessa. In her heart, Vanessa doesn’t deny that Nafla’s character has inherited from her mother. It’s just that Nafla is really a tomboy.
“Sis Lala only lost to Brother Eki,” said Elena according to the facts.
Everyone also knows that only Rizky is able to conquer Nafla. Nafla who is stubborn against Rizky who is super ignorant. Wherever the two of them are there, you can be sure that the atmosphere is excited and that has been the case since they were little until now. But fortunately Rizky lives in Surabaya. So they rarely see each other. If you were both in Yogyakarta, you could be sure that war would break out every day.
“Just don’t say that name again or I’ll be in trouble!” Nafla replied annoyed. Every time he heard the name of the coconut tree man his blood immediately boiled. Typical of the man she really hated. If in this world the only man left was Rizky, Nafla would rather disappear from the face of the earth than be with him.
Immediately they all burst into laughter except Nafla of course.
After the men’s business was finished, they said goodbye to go home at 20. 30 WIB. In fact, they have never felt bored when they were together like now. But because tomorrow their children had to go to school, the exciting conversation had to end.
Elena greeted the parents in turn. However, when he shook and kissed Devan’s hand, he felt something different in his heart. Suddenly his heart worked extra hard without knowing why. The adult man also now looks more handsome and attractive in her eyes. Elena doesn’t understand what she feels for this man lately. What’s clear is that he liked it when he met her. Loves the citrus aroma that always emits from his athletic body.
“Study diligently!” said Devan while ruffling the top of Elena’s head who immediately nodded in response.
Elena then looked away when Devan turned to greet Ivand who was beside her. Hiding his hot face. But Elena immediately controlled herself when her logic reminded her that Devan was like her own Daddy. Elena hurriedly went up to her room. Sleep might be the panacea to get rid of the foreign feelings that were present in his heart. A vibration of love began to grow at the bottom of his heart.
