Billionaire’s Regret: CEO Wants Mother Of Twin Back

8. I’ll Let You Live Here

“It’s cold, my children can’t be stranded here,” he said and made a gesture. At once, a Mercedes Maybach was driven towards them. Indeed, it was so cold and standing right there arguing with him might make her children got sick plus her children were still sleepy.

Soon, Lily and the kids entered alongside Drake Bell. Took about fifteen minutes before they got to Drake Bell’s villa. Drake Bell led the mother and the two kids inside, the old butler of the villa was quick enough to lead the children to a more comfortable room where they could sleep.

The children wouldn’t sleep of course without the presence of Lily. After the children had fallen asleep, Lily walked out of the room and stormed angrily to Drake Bell’s room. She knocked repeatedly but didn’t get an answer.

She was so angry and wanted to challenge him as to why he would dare to stop her. She hated the fact that he was stalking her.

“Mrs. Bell,” someone suddenly called from behind and she turned at once. Seeing the old butler, Lily quickly corrected, “Drake and I had divorced for a long time so please call me Lily.”

“Okay, miss. Lily. Mr. Drake Bell isn’t in that room. He’s in his study room,” the butler said.

Lily wasn’t unfamiliar to this villa as this was where she lived a lonely life when she was married to Drake Bell.

“Thank you,” Lily thanked the man and walked straight to the study room. The day was already getting bright this time as it was already 6:30AM.

She didn’t bother knocking the door, she just pushed it open in rage. “Why in the world are you stalking me, Drake Bell? I chose to travel and what’s your business with that?”

“You and the kids are mine now.” He said simply.

“Do you intend forcing me against my will or what? How dare you call me yours? And as for the kids, I hated for you to be their father but since you are, I can’t really do anything but please stop stalking me and allow me to do whatever I intend doing,” she said with a frown.

Drake Bell then held up a file up, “this… Is a carefully prepared contract. It was drafted out by my lawyer, have a look.” He stretched the contract file to her.

Lily walked up to him and collected it, she read through the contents of the contract in a speed of light. What was stated basically was Drake Bell telling her to live with him during her period of working at Bell’s LTD for the sake of the kids. He wanted to make up for his wrongs in this period but if at the end of this period, Lily still wishes to leave, he wouldn’t stop her and would even let her take the kids. As a matter of fact, he would offer her a blank cheque to fill. There were other terms and conditions in the contract but they were minor, that was the most important one.

“Once your work in Bell’s LTD is over, I won’t bother you anymore,” Drake Bell said. Although it wasn’t like he was giving her a choice, afterall, he would force things to work in his ways if Lily refused. The contract he offered is just him trying to act civil.

“I know your worries, that I’ll go back on my words after you are done at Bell’s LTD, right?” Drake Bell added, “you have my words, Lily. Trust them. Plus this is a legal contract signed by me, you can always sue me with it.”

“Drake, I’m not the same woman you have as wife years ago. Time has changed lot of things, although we have kids between us, nothing out of the ordinary can ever subsists between us.” Lily said.

Drake Bell observed the seriousness in her face for a few seconds and said, “sign the contract.”Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.

“And what if I refused?”

“All your attempts to escape from New York won’t work so why don’t you just take my civil offer?” He said.

Lily hates how proud he sounded but then, he was telling the truth. He had eyes all over the city. She had a few months to work in Bell’s LTD, that period isn’t much of a long time. Infact, she should be done with the business partnership she was engaging in with Drake Bell’s company soon. Her work should be done in five to seven months after which she was expected to return to the company she works for at California.

But Living with someone that you did not love anymore can be torture, she wanted to get close to him so she can revenge on him but not this type of closeness. Living under the same roof with him may be very complicated.

“If I’ll be staying here, I don’t want to be anywhere around you,” she stated.

“This is a large villa, there are twenty two rooms in this mansion, you already know my room, you can choose your own room.” Drake Bell said.

Lily already decided to choose a room that’s on the far end of the house where she can have her own privacy. That although she may be living here, she would barely see him.

“And I do not want you coming to my room unannounced,” Lily stated.

“Agreed. Any other requests?” Drake Bell asked. He was ready to grant her all her request as long as she decided to stay here. She wants her back in his life, he also wanted the kids in his life as well. His life had been void and full of darkness for years, perhaps, if he wins both the mother and the twin into his life, he might eventually feel a true sense of happiness.

Although he was now the father of the kids, neither of the mother nor the kids regards him as one. Infact, the kids dislike him, same with the mother. But in this few months, he would be hell-bent on making the impossible a possibility. Making Lily and the kids who consider him a stranger his own family. Maybe he can eventually live a happy ever after with her. But Considering how much she hated her…. Drake Bell’s eyes became weary as he thought for so long about it.

“Fine.” Lily eventually agreed.

“You already know your way around the house, pick any room you want and if you want anything, don’t hesitate to contact the butler.”

“I should take my leave,” Lily turned and walked out of the study room.

She went straight to the room her children were sleeping in just to ensure they are fine. Once she confirmed they are asleep and fine, she sauntered her way to the room she planned on staying in.

On getting there, she sank her butt to the bed. Her mood fell flat. While thinking about how her few months in Drake Bell’s villa would look like, her mind suddenly trailed to Alexander Bell. Drake Bell had said precisely that she would never hear anything about him again. Lily then called Alexander Bell’s number but it was not going through at all. It was as though he blocked her or… His line had become inactive. Was she the reason why Drake Bell would have hurt Alexander Bell?

She then dropped her phone to her side depressingly. She looked around the large room she would now be staying from now on and then laid well on the bed to have some sleep. Afterall, today was Sunday and there was no need for her to go to work today.

She suddenly started hearing some loud shouts from a distance, it was like an angry person speaking. She then stood and walked out to see what was going on.

She soon appeared at the large living room, she was stunned to see a woman speaking atop of her voice to Drake Bell. The woman would be in her early sixties although she was dressed elegantly, she was very aggressive.

The averagely old woman sighted Lily and squinted her eyes, “who is this woman?”

“I’ll explain to you, mum. Please sit,” he wanted to walk over to the old woman but she shouted on him in rage, “is this the bastard slut you are keeping? Drake, If you won’t marry the woman I want you to marry, I will kill myself.” She said angrily. She shot Lily daggers as if she was going to stab her.

Lily lived with Drake Bell as his wife for years but she never got to see his mom even once. During their wedding, someone else had come to represent his mother and father. None of Drake Bell’s family member were present except for his uncle, Alexander Bell. Lily sometimes use to think that Drake Bell might be intentionally hidding his family from her.

“Lily, go back to your room,” Drake Bell said, feeling very unsettled. Lily nodded and walked straight inside her room.

“She even has a room here? You must send her away now…” The woman suddenly sat and removed her heels then threw it away. She scattered her well arranged hair, removed her gold wrist watch and smashed it on the floor. She gritted her teeth and screamed aggressively, “get rid of that bastard and do what I want.”

Drake Bell’s heart broke, this was the first time of seeing his mom after fifteen years yet nothing had changed in her. His mum developed a mental problem after she and her husband lost their two triplets many years ago. Before Drake was born, two triplets were born before him but those two triplets died in an accident one day, leaving his parents scarred.

Infact, one week after the two triplets died, his father went into a deep depression that eventually lead to the hypertension that claimed his life.

So his mum had been under strict monitoring so she wouldn’t hurt herself. It’s been decades since that incident happen, but his mother still hadn’t recover from loosing six kids in one day. Drake Bell is the only survivor left of his parent’s children.

His mom had been abroad under some specialized doctors strict monitoring, he however communicates with his mom in her stable state a few times every year. But for the past two months now, his mom had suddenly been pestering him to marry Amelia. He had no idea how his mom who was in Germany knows Amelia who lives here in New York. She kept saying she had promised Amelia’s family that he would marry her to her son.

When his response to his mom’s request wasn’t yielding any positive result, his mom flew over and here she was, acting aggressively. Drake Bell knew she wasn’t in her right state of her mind and it bothers his soul.

He squatted before his mom and said, “mum, you want me to marry Amelia, right? I will.”

“You will?” The woman asked and Drake Bell nodded. “Who is the slut that appeared just now? I want you to send her away?”

His mum had no idea that the woman she’s calling a slut was actually his wife of many years, although they are divorced now but are only staying temporarily together for a few months, it still made his heart weary that his mom didn’t even have an idea whom his ex wife was.

He really didn’t know how to describe the relationship that subsists between himself and Lily. “Mom,” Drake Bell held her two hands and said, “she’s a business partner and it’s necessary for her to live here with me. There is nothing between us.”

“Drake, I want to start living with you… don’t say NO. The past few years had been sad and lonely for me,” she said.

“Mum, you need the doctor’s care, you can’t get that here. You need to fly back,” Drake Bell persuaded.

“The doctor treated me for fifteen years but I couldn’t get better, do you think I can heal from the death of my six grown up kids?” Immediately the woman said this, tears welled up her eyes and in a jiffy, tears started to rush down her face. She began to cry in agony.

Didn’t they say time heal? How come time can’t heal his mom? Drake Bell thought. He moved closer to his mum and hugged her dearly in a comforting manner, “fine, I’ll let you live here.”
