Billionaire Husband Picks Me Home

Chapter 33 The Love of Jeffery

Chapter 33 The Love of Jeffery

Jane went downstairs, she was going to take a taxi home. When she reached the intersection, she saw

Jeffery's car parked not far away.

He got off the car and planned to go upstairs to find her. Then he saw Jane come out, he waved at her.

"Why are you here?"

Jane walked over in a good mood and smiled as she spoke.

However, thinking of what she had just done, she hesitated. After all, Susie was Jeffery's cousin and

they were a family. If Jeffery knew what she had done just now, he would definitely be unhappy.

"It was late, and I worried about you. I happened to be on the way, so I came to pick you up." Jeffery

smiled and put his arm around her shoulder, helping her to tuck the hair behind her ear. "What

happened? Why are you so happy?"

"I..... "

Jane bit her lower lip, wondering how to explain what had just happened to Jeffery.

She couldn't say that the reason was that she had tricked her cousin.

"What's wrong? Do you still not want to tell me what you're happy about?" Seeing that the little girl

seemed to be in a dilemma, Jeffery frowned and held up Jane's face.

Jane pursed her lips, gritted her teeth and hesitated for a while, and then tentatively said, "If I did

something, would you be angry?"

"That depends on what it is." Jeffery pinched Jane's chin, pushed her into the car, and then got into the

car from the other side before he continued, "If you make me a cuckold, I will not only be angry but also

give you a good lesson."

"How to teach me?" she asked casually.

"I'll chop the adulterer off first, then take you back and lock you on the bed with the chains. I'll teach you

a lesson." He deliberately emphasized the last sentense. His words were enough to make a girl blush.

Jane lowered her head, glancing at his face, and her heart beat faster. "Actually... today's matter is

related to your cousin and her husband."

She paused for a moment. Seeing that he didn't chance his expression, she continued, "You know

Larry is my classmate in college, he is also present at the class gathering. He brought your cousin."

Jeffery frowned. He had been worried that she would get into trouble when Jane told him that she

would not come with him yesterday.

So today he came here specially to pick her up. Seeing Jane coming out happily, he thought she was

all right, but he heard the name again.

"Did they bully you again?"

Jane shook her head and then nodded. She thought about it and said, "Actually, your cousin made a

loss today. They publicly said that I was someone's mistress and even drugged me. They wanted to

send me to a rich guy in the class. When I realized it, I changed the wine that Susie gave me and

then... sent your cousin to the pre-arranged room. Larry might be probably catching them on bed now."

She didn't dare to look up at Jeffery's face. She really didn't know what to do if he got angry as she

treated his cousin like this.

"I'm sorry. I know I'm filthy, but I was really mad at that time. They were targeting me again and again. I

really..." Jane felt that she should apologize to him, but because she was too emotional, she spoke

incoherently, finally shut up.

Then, there was a suffocating silence in the car.

Jane waited for a long time, but Jeffery didn't say anything. Finally, she couldn't help but look up at

Jeffery's expression.

However, he patted her head with his big palm.

Jeffery rubbed her hair and smiled gently. "Well done. My little girl finally knows how to fight back. If

anyone bullies you again, you should fight back like today."

Jane was stunned when she heard this. She looked at Jeffery in surprise. "Don't you blame me?"

"Why should I blame you? I am happy that you protect yourself." Mr. Jones smiled, as if he did not take

Susie's situation seriously at all.

"But Susie is your cousin, after all. Doing something like this is equivalent to ruin her reputation, and

her marriage with Larry." Seeing how he pampered her, Jane felt even more guilty.

In fact, she was a little regretful after sending the text message. After all, if she left others no room, her

life would not be easy too. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

However, she did not think too much at that time, not to mention that Susie was Jeffery's cousin.

"Susie should thank you for letting things go just like that. If anything happens to you today, I'll make

sure she dies the next day." Jeffery held Jane's hand tightly. "I won't allow anyone to hurt you. No

matter who it is, I won't let go."

Jane looked down at her hands clasped together, and could not tell whether she should be pleased or

worried. But she was certain that her guilt obsession with Larry was wiped out by this man.

"Thank you," she said.

"Did I say that don't say thank you to me?" He turned around and asked.

"I know." She paused. "But I really thank you today, Jeffery. I am very touched. Thank you for being so

kind to me. In my whole life, no one cared about me so much except my mother."

"I care." He said, turned his head and smiled. "Because I am your man."

Because I am your man!

These words kept echoing in Jane's mind. Each word clearly hit her heart.

...

The next day Jane went back to work. The atmosphere was strange when she entered the building.

She got into the elevator and found her colleagues looked gloomy, too.

Even in the secretary office on the top floor, Tina was sitting in the seat, covering her face. Her eyes

were red as if she had just cried.

Jane could vaguely see Tina was covered half of her face with her hands, which swollen up high.

She could not help but fathom.

As far as she knew, Jeffery never beat his subordinates, not to mention a woman.

But Tina was his secretary. All over Jones Group, no one dared to touch her even a hair except him.

Then...... How did Tina get the palm print on her face?

While she was guessing, Aldred walked out of Jeffery's office.

" Assistant Aldred......" she whispered.

Aldred also saw her, he came over and handed her a document. When he saw that she was looking at

Tina, he quickly explained in a low voice, "Mrs. Reed lost his temper as soon as he came here this

morning. He scolded several staffs when he entered the company. Tina happened to be unlucky and

was slapped."
