Annabelle.

“Huh?” I stammered, my voice barely audible as I cowered under his intense gaze.

“Leave,” he motioned for Omega May to leave the restroom, and when she left, he faced me again. “Is it true, Anne? Why didn’t you say so?” he inquired, making his way into the restroom. Thankfully, I was already dressed by the time he was fully inside.

“… that you were locked up by Lady Emily. Tell me the truth, Anne, and stop making a fool of me.”

I sighed, “I… it’s true,” I said defeatedly since he already knew the truth.

His face turned into a blazing fire, his eyes flashing like lightning, and his entire body shook with fury. I could feel the anger radiating from him.

He turned around, heading towards the door, and I instantly knew where he was going.

“No, please…” I held his hands, stopping him from doing what I felt he was about to do. “Please, don’t do it.”

“And why shouldn’t I? She hurt you, and she deserves to be punished. How dare she try to pin it on her maid when she was the one at fault!”

“Alph–Derek, please, no… let peace reign. I don’t want to be the cause of her

punishment. I’m already an uninvited guest in the castle, and I don’t want her to be punished just because of me. I would feel so bad.”

“You’re not an uninvited guest in my castle, and if she’s not comfortable with you being here, then she can leave for all I care. I don’t want to lose you ever again. I’ve lost you once, and I don’t think I would ever forgive myself if I lost you again!” He ran his hand through his hair, frustrated, unaware of what he had just said, which made me extremely confused.

“I don’t get you, Derek. What do you mean by you’ve lost me once?” I asked.

“Huh?” His eyes widened as if realizing he had just said something he wasn’t supposed to say. “Uhm… it’s nothing.”

“I don’t think it’s nothing. Derek. Tell me, is there something about me that you know? Have you met me before? Do you know me? Have we known each other before?I asked desperately, wanting to know if he knew something about me from years ago that I had forgotten.

“Uhm… it’s nothing, really, Anne. Let’s go.

“Derek!” I held his shirt, stopping him again, but this time for a different reason. I needed to know if he knew anything about me.

I knew there were parts of my memory that I’d forgotten, something I wouldn’t have known if Dad hadn’t mentioned that he picked me up from the forest.

There were parts of me that I couldn’t remember, old memories that could restore my old life, my real life.

“Derek… please, if…

“It was nothing, Anne. Uhm, I meant when you left your dad’s mansion and were almost raped. Remember?” he asked instead of stating, which clearly meant he was trying to eover up something. “Yes, that’s what I meant. Come on now, let’s go.” He picked up my black battered dress and pushed it into the bag Omega May brought, along with my heels.

He held my waist and led me outside the restroom, and just as we reached the outside, we were met with not just Omega May but Lady Emily and her friends.

“Derek…” Lady Emily called his name softly as she saw him with me.

Derek didn’t give her a glance, passing her by while holding me by my waist. I didn’t know when a small smile grew on my face that he didn’t even spare her a glance.

When we reached the car park, he collected his keys from the valet, opened the door, and we drove home while Omega May drove with Guard Zach.

The drive back to the castle lasted about ten minutes and was filled with awkward silence because I kept recalling the last conversation we had in the restroom. I knew he knew something about me from before, but I had no idea what it was. However, I had this feeling that Alpha Derek knew me even before he met me. He knew about my past.

“Don’t open it yet. I’ll do it.” He held my hand, stopping me from opening the car door myself, and walked over to my side and opened it.

When my feet touched the ground, he scooped me up, and I felt a rush of embarrassment as the hem of my flowery dress rode up to my thighs, exposing my

legs.

“Put me down!” I protested, trying to cover myself, but Derek didn’t seem to listen to my protest as he strode all the way to his room before placing me gently on his bed.

“I’ll… I’ll go to my room.” I sat up from the bed and was about to go when he held me still, pinning me to the bed, his face inches away from mine.

“I feel like kissing you right now,” he said huskily, as he swallowed, his eyes never leaving mine.

Suddenly, I felt a hand traveling up from under my dress, making my body shake with uncontrollable tremors, and then his lips came crashing onto mine.

“I’ve been wanting to do this since I saw you in that dress,” he said between kisses as his hands kept trailing until they tugged at my panties.

I was overwhelmed with feelings, and at that moment, I was ready for anything. I didn’t care if he wanted to take me right then because I was ready.

I wrapped my hands around his neck and pulled him until his weight rested on my soft body, then kissed him with a passion I didn’t know I had in me for him.

I was so caught up in the kiss that I didn’t notice when his hands traced all the way to my breasts. It was only when he squeezed them that I let out a moan, and he groaned deeply.

“I want to claim you now, mate…” NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
