Chapter 211
Looking at each other, both of them were stupefied!
Since Jeremy sent Alicia back previously, he actually came over a few times, sometimes at night and sometimes in the morning. Every time, he saw her going in and out of the house alone. He had never seen a man before.
He also sent someone to investigate the owner of the house but to no avail. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Later, he accidentally came across a picture of their classmates and he remembered that she was good friends with Victoria Atlas. As the Atlas family was a prestigious family, he thought that perhaps the house belonged to Victoria and she allowed Alicia to stay here temporarily.
On the other hand, Frederick had many scandals in the headlines recently. Although Jeremy did not know the women who were with Frederick, one look was all it took to know that Alicia was not one of them.
This day, he unexpectedly spotted the ointment he had bought beforehand, therefore he purposely came over!
It was Sunday and he felt that there was a higher probability that she would be at home.
As for Frederick, he never thought that Jeremy would show up at their doorstep. Besides that, the ointment in his hands and his words showed that he knew about the wound on Alicia's thigh!
The injuries were on the upper part of her thigh. Carson had seen it before only because she was in a nightdress while the two of them were fighting, causing her dress to be lifted up. It was purely a coincidence. How did Jeremy know when her wound was at such a private part of her body?
Moreover, his tone and attitude made it obvious that he cared about her a lot!
In the kitchen, everything was prepared. As Frederick had not yet returned, Alicia took off her apron and ran out.
The door was half- opened and Frederick's body blocked her view. She could not see the person outside or hear a conversation going on.
She then ran over in smiles. "Hubby, who's here so early in the morning?"
Mischievously embracing him from behind, she tiptoed and looked out the door. Almost immediately, her smile froze.
Jeremy?
How did he find his way here?
She had completely forgotten that he brought her back the last time. She felt as if she had been struck by lightning, her head buzzing.
Almost at the same time, Jeremy returned to his senses. He looked at them in disbelief, his dazed eyes wide open.
Frederick put his arm on Alicia's shoulders. He smiled and rubbed her hair lovingly. "Nobody. He just came to the wrong house!"
Following that, he slammed the door shut and pushed Alicia against the door.
Her expression was awfully stiff and her heart was in a panic. She looked up at him nervously and tried to open her mouth but she could not utter a single word.
His feelings surging, Frederick bent down and kissed her lips fiercely. His raging strength came with unstoppable anger. Alicia knew that he was getting angry and she obediently let him have his way.
She even caressed him fawningly, her slender, pale arms locking around his neck.
Sure enough, the action gave reassurance to Frederick. He started to slow down and grew gentle.
Behind the door, the two of them kissed passionately while Jeremy stood outside, dazed on the spot.
Responding quite proactively, Alicia's reaction successfully extinguished Fredericks anger. At the end of the kiss, he put his hand on the back of her head and gave her a small peck on the corner of her swollen lips.
Tugging at his shirt, she pursed her lips. "Hubby, I... You aren't mad, are you?"
This had happened on such a beautiful day. Cursing Jeremy in her heart, she was utterly irritated. A man whom she used to love deeply had destroyed her life in the past. To be honest, she was afraid that he would shatter all she had at present. She was afraid that she would revert to where she was three years ago.
If everything happened once again, she did not know if she could make it!
Out of nowhere, she remembered how he hurt her maliciously on purpose. He had the audacity to slander her in her face, saying that she had once lived together with him for three years!
She longed for him for three years. However, he would only disappoint her more and more every time they met.
She felt that she really fell in love with the wrong person!
You could see one's character after a breakup! This thought often came to her mind after that incident! That was why she did not feel sorry for herself. The sufferings she had to face currently were because of her stupid decisions in the past!
The only thing she felt glad about was that she kept her principles until the end. At least, she would not live in regret in the present.
"I'm fine. Let's eat!"
Taking her hand, Frederick did not say anything. She instantly broke into a wide, glowing smile.
The food in the kitchen was getting cold, hence Alicia heated them with the microwave oven. She served out the porridge and poured herself a glass of milk before handing Frederick some green onion waffles.
"Hubby, this is my signature dish! I promise you'll be addicted once you try it!"
Every time Frederick looked at her smiling face, he felt that life had seemed infinitely beautiful. Taking it over, he took a bite. He was a clean freak and would not eat with his bare hands, let alone eat food that others have touched before. Despite that, he did not even realize it this time around.
With the rich taste of the green onions and a little bit of pepper, the waffles were savory and crispy.lt certainly tasted good. After eating one piece, he nodded in approval.
"It's not bad, you didn't exaggerate! Indeed, it's just like you!"
While drinking her milk, Alicia could not register what he said and gave him a questioning look. "What? What's just like me?" Why did he not finish his sentence?
He took another bite of the waffle. "I'll get addicted after tasting it!"
Pfft...
Alice almost choked on her milk. She flushed bright red and rolled her eyes at him. "Can we have a proper meal? The food can't even make you stop talking!"
She whined and pushed the side dishes over to him. "Quick, eat more and stop talking!"
After that, she took a piece of waffle, added some hot sauce, and munched on it happily.
Frederick felt contented every time he watched her eat.
"When did you start eating spicy food? Aren't you afraid of a stomach ache this early in the morning? Aren't you afraid that it would weaken the effects of the medicine?" "It's okay, I'm all recovered now. I'm not that weak! This tastes best with a little sauce... My morn and I used to love this!"
In the past, days were hard for them and they were really sick of having bread each day. They could not stock up on vegetables as they did not have a fridge, thus they could only buy a bunch of green onions and fry them with batter. They were cheap and delicious.
It was a pity that they were hard to digest and were quite greasy. Alicia and Mrs. Blanchard could not have them for every meal due to these reasons. Nevertheless, this dish made their daily life better as it could really satisfy one's cravings!
