Chapter 1208
Feeling pain in her back, Lauren couldn't help frowning, groaning.
When she looked up, she met a pair of eyes pervaded with wrath. Her eyes swept over the messy flowers before her brows unconsciously furrowed into another frown.
Her small movements did not escape Willy's notice as his face turned darker. "What's wrong? Are you worried about the wilted flowers?"
Lazily, she adjusted her position. Lauren withdrew her elbow and gently rubbed it. "Wilted flowers are my personal properties nheless! Mr. Bowles, you do not seem to have the right to deal with it privately!"
Lauren gave him a cold look, a sharp contrast from her previous frivolous attitude. Indifferently avoiding eye contact, she pointed out, "I don't get along with married man. Mr. Bowles, please conduct yourself with dignity! Move!"
After being neglected for a long period, Willy was obviously disgusted with her and wanted to eliminate the uncertain feeling that had been bugging him. Whenever he saw her, however, he could not control himself. His hand that was around her waist tightened, his tone laden with fury. "I'm not married yet! That's not my wife nor my child!"
His gaze fell on her face as Willy's eyes flashed with a trace of deep loneliness. Wife? Child? For him, they were words that caused him great agony. Lauren sensed his hesitation, her hatred intensifying. Her bright eyes looked straight into his eyes. "Mr. Bowles, do you neither have wife nor children?"
Their sharp gazes violently collided as sparks flew in all directions. For a long time, neither of them spoke. She deliberately raised a tricky question. Willy knew it well.
If he said no, it meant denying Lauren and the baby's existence. He couldn't get over it in his heart. If he said yes, it didn't meet her requirements. Fixing his gaze on her, Willy fell into a daze under her sight, but he firmly replied, "Yes! I have a lover and a child, but I lost them by accident..." Her heart missed a beat as Lauren unconsciously gulped. Her mood was obviously affected as she avoided his scorching gaze without realizing it. "Mr. Bowles, who are you doing?" "You look like her..."
With a low murmur, the strength pushing against Lauren's shoulders reduced. The next second, however, she pushed him hard.
"Do I look like someone who has given birth to a child? I'm not a substitute!"
Lauren leaned to one side. A clear black mole flashed into his sight from the back of her neck. Willy hooked her waist.
"Laurie?"
Why was it so familiar? He seemed to have seen it somewhere. She had short hair. Had there been a mole? Willy was somewhat uncertain, but at the same time, he was clear.
Turning around, Lauren stared at him, her eyes overwhelmed with anger and emotions.
Almost reflexively, Willy's momentum weakened, " Tevye! I no longer treat you as her. Is that alright for you?"
Right then, a strange thought popped into his mind. Perhaps she was Lauren, the actual Lauren! Did something happen to her that caused her to forget the past, or was she brainwashed? Was that why she changed into another person, so she remembered nothing?!
Clearly feeling the strength on her waist, Lauren funned. "Mr. Bowles, you flatter me! However, I have an appointment with Mr. Carter. Please refrain from meddling in my business!"
She knew that she would not be pleased with whatever decision he made, but Lauren could not control her emotions. She pursed her lips in annoyance.
"What do you have to talk about with the old pervert? He sold you to me for one million dollars!" At the thought of the two talking and laughing in the evening, Willy was hopping mad.
"Haven't he taken enough advantage of you?"
Stunned, after glancing at the roses on the ground, Lauren was instantly enlightened. It was no wonder that the person had been so gentlemanly in sending her to the parking lot scampered faster than a rabbit in the blink of an eye!
Other than him, who would dare take advantage of her?!
Did she wear her bracelet for nothing?
Only then did she remember the purpose of her trip, to her realization that she had gone in the wrong direction. Coming to herself, Lauren turned around and rested her arms on Willy's shoulder.
"Mr. Bowles, you spoiled my flowers!"
"I'll pay you ten times over!"
"What's that?"
"I'll compensate for it now. Fine?" Would he escape from compensating for a few bunches of flowers?
Willy could not stand her questioning eyes as he grabbed her wrist and walked towards the exit.
"My shoes are also spoiled!" The implication was that Willy had to pay for it as well!
"All right!"
"My waist is injured!" She demanded compensation too!
"Yes, sir."
Being dragged along the way, Lauren had never stopped blabbering. Willy showed no mercy by directly stepping on the roses. In the flower shop, Willy ordered her the most expensive "Misty Black RoseTM, a unique black color. Lauren found it cute, but Willy felt that it was the best suit for her His Laurie was indeed the "Black Rose"!
When they arrived at the door, Lauren remembered that they still needed a teddy bear for their daughter, so she pointed at a pure white furry bear doll behind her. Willy willingly purchased it for her. In the clothing store, Lauren did not give in the slightest at all. She selected the most expensive shoes and clothes, no matter whether she took a liking to them or not. When she exited the store, she had gained a lot. As for Willy, he was beaming with smiles.
Along the way, Lauren walked slowly. During the whole journey, Willy patiently played along with her, slowing down to match her footsteps. "Where are you staying? I'll send you home!"
Feeling that she was almost done, Lauren did not refuse. "All right..."
As her gaze swept, a familiar figure in a colorful outfit flashed across her sight. Her starry eyes narrowed as she took a step forward, suddenly grabbing Willy by his arm.
Willy halted in his tracks and turned to look at her. "What's wrong?"
"The shoes are too high. I'm a little tired!"
Lowering his head, Willy looked at the eightcentimeter heels on her feet. It looked tiring, but there was a trace of unconcealed sexiness. Willy could not help but frown slightly.
"Why would you buy so high heels then if you feel so easily tired?"
The new shoes she had bought were higher than the pair she was wearing, right?
With a slight grin, Lauren did not answer. Men love There were many things she did not like, but she had to put them on. All that was prepared for him! That year, she had her homework!
He lifted his eyes and saw that the car was in sight. Turning around, Willy lifted her up and offered, "We're almost there. Let me carry you over! Stay
still!"
Looking steadily ahead, Willy strode forward. In his arms, Lauren's beautiful smile seeped with cracks.
He carried her all the way to the passenger seat before turning to the other door.
The moment he turned
around, what entered Lauren's eyes was the flowercolored dress that swiftly flashed in the rearview mirror. Cloud?
The next second, Lauren's hand that had been holding onto the seat belt paused...noveldrama
