Lauren emphasized her last few words as her warm breath brushed his ears and even deliberately put her weight on him, staying for a few seconds. His brain rumbled as he clearly felt the foreign softness, and he reflexively shoved her away the next second, livid with rage.

As the elevator door closed, Lauren steadied her staggering body with her hand on the wall as her gaze landed on her two peaks, lips curved into a half-smile.

She had thought it was because she was lactating, but nothing changed even after Yvette had weaned three months ago. However, she didn't know if she should consider herself lucky. Taking two heavy drags, Willy gave his forehead a hard slap! Just as he finally calmed down, he saw the slim figure saunter out of the building and enter a flashy yellow sports car the moment he opened his eyes, and his breathing halted.

Everything returned to silence after his heartstring was violently plucked. However, a rock seemed to have smashed a hole in his heart. He had been able to bear those painful memories, but he could no longer remain composed ever since seeing that face.

Despite the luxury of a free afternoon, it turned into his most unbearable.

He spread the pictures and profile out on the table once again. His brain hurt the more he looked at them; two equaled forces fighting to the death in his mind.

"Was that Laurie?" he thought.

"Could there be two people that

much alike in this world? Even twins would have different physiques, backs, feeling, and energy, right? That woman was definitely kis Laurie!" His mind debated.

"No, she's Yesmine. Her identity is traceable, and not only is she not an orphan, but she's also a daughter of a wealthy family! She couldn't be Lauren!"

"Twins?"

"But her profile states that she has a half-sister, not a twin!"

"Are they two people, or one?"

Tapping his head, his gaze landed on a photo of her half looking behind her shoulder, and he was ruffled once again. Her every twinkle and smile, even her actions were so much alike!

"Have I gotten so obsessive that I'd hope anyone that looks even a little like you is you?"

Feeling the diamond ring on his neck unconsciously, he took it off but felt as though his breathing stopped painfully that instant.

"Laurie, have I gotten mad? Why can't I shake off the feeling that that's you?"

Willy thought he was becoming possessed as his mind was torn between believing and doubt for a long time.

Lexx saw the few pictures and profile spread out on the table when he came in as Willy turned around with a bottle of wine and a wine glass.

"Just in time. Have a drink with me!"

He poured two glasses of wine on the side of the table, but Lexx grabbed both when he was handed a glass and poured it all into a flowerpot.

"Nothing will change even if you

abuse yourself with alcohol! Look at how much you've had over the past year?" He had been actively drinking for the past few days, to be more precise. Though not drunk, it was in the middle of the day. That was abnormal.

Then he grabbed the wine bottle and placed it back in the wine cooler.

Willy frowned, somewhat upset, but Lexx beat him to it when he wanted to speak. "Why don't you go and find an answer instead of torturing yourself like this?"

Lauren or not, he thought it was good that a woman could divert his attention. For all they knew, the two of them might even end up together! As a bro, he really wanted him to be happy!

"Would you waste your time when you know it's impossible?" Willy said, closing his eyes. "How could she end up in prison when she has a family to rely on and one with such a status at that?"

No way he wouldn't have known! If Lauren had such an affluent family, why would she still be with him without a proper status? But his instincts were telling him to hold on to it.

So, he had really trapped himself.
