Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1187

The hospital, a place full of stories and sorrows, where all sorts of cries could be heard from time to time. Even the relatively quiet VIP area would have some commotion every now and then.

It was only nine-thirty that day when Penny saw that the corridor was crowded with people, and the scene was chaotic.

"What's going on? Isn't this the VIP area? Why does it look like a market?"noveldrama

"Security?!"

Penny roared angrily as the crowd blocked her path, nearly pushing her several times.

Just then, a bodyguard trying to disperse the crowd came up to her, wiping the sweat off his forehead. "Madam, you are here! Sorry, we'll deal with it right away!"

Before they could say more, a woman's wail echoed once more.

"Why can't I go in? Step aside! Move! Where did you hide my husband?"

"Do you think I can do nothing to you because you hide like a coward? I'm telling you, Karl, you and I have unfinished business! Do you think I have nothing on you even if you hide like a rat?!"

"You dare to have a mistress and dare to lose the baby but dare not divorce me? You spineless coward!"

"Come f*cking out!"

Meanwhile, a security guard was entangled with one of the women that woman brought. "Madam, this is the VIP area. We don't have anyone with the name Karl here. Please leave and not make any more noise!"

Just then, a fat and strong middle-aged woman shrieked.

"What do you mean you don't?! We watched him charge in! And the shameless b*tch is a nurse here. We saw them go in with our own eyes!"

"Let us in!"

"What, do you think you're right? You dare push me? Ouch, I'm beaten; he's hitting me! Where's the justice!"

It was already chaotic, but a woman suddenly sat on the ground, slapping the floor and pulling her clothes while screaming like a fishwife. The security guards who were shooing them away earlier were now entangled by the women. Meanwhile, two doctors were trying to break the fight while a nurse made a call.

Seeing that the corridor was packed with people, chaotic, Penny's voice was covered several times. Carrying the food jar, she tried several times to shove herself through the crowd only to fail. Finally, she had enough and shouted at the top of her lungs.

"Enough! My husband suffered a heart attack and needs to rest. Call the cops if they still won't leave; sue them for public nuisance and ask for compensation!"

While everyone was stumped, Penny strode past the crowd, making her way quickly to her husband's ward.

As soon as she pushed the door open, she saw a man in a white coat but wearing a pair of trainers. That somewhat familiar figure stood by the hospital bed, holding a syringe right at the IV drip.

Why wasn't he wearing shoe covers?

They went stumped as soon as their eyes met, and Penny's eyes instinctively widened, "Who are you? What are you doing?"

Realizing something was wrong, Penny turned to run. "Help, someone-"

"Shush, don't shout!"

With her mouth covered, Penny panicked, even more, wanting to scream and shout instinctively. Left with no choice, Steve removed his surgical mask and only did she stop.

Shocked to see the empty needle in his hand, Penny charged toward the bed but deliberately whispered.

"What did you do to him? How did you get in?"

"What else can I do other than help him rightfully meet his maker? That way, our son can naturally take over Clements Group, won't he? And you won't have to live under his roof anymore. Our family can finally reunite!"

While speaking, Steve walked past her, over to the syringe.

Penny kept looking over at the door as she yanked him.

"Don't do anything stupid! This is a matter of death, and things are not as simple as you think! I can't explain everything in a few words. Anyhow, just don't mess around. Leave now!"

"You don't want to leave this old man? Don't forget Mason's not his son. Now that things had turned into such a big deal, people are starting to question his identity! Do you wantMason's reputation ruined and also lose everything? Killing one person is no different than killing two!"

Frightened by Steve's sinister tone, Penny held him back. "What do you mean by that?"

He hadn't murdered someone, had he?

"Nothing! Now's a good chance. With this gas injected, no one will know..."

"No, you will be convicted if you're found out! You can't touch him. Go! When the doctor comes, you will be exposed! Go..."

Sweat started forming on Penny's back as she tried to shove him out of the ward.

Amidst the struggle, Steve managed to inject the gas into the IV drip, which led Penny to scream.

"No!"

Just then, the door was pushed open. Seeing the scene as he entered, Mason reflexively shouted as he charged.

"Help! Murder! Doctor, security..."

Penny was shoved to the side after a few tugs. Their eyes met as the two men fought, and Steve got mad. "Your eyes? You lied to me!"

He looked over at Penny; his gaze was murderous.

However, before she could react, Mason smashed a chair at him. Meanwhite, hurried footsteps could be heard outside. Putting his mask back on, Steve squeezed out the door while Mason instinctively chased after him. Content belongs

"Catch him! Hurry!"

"Mason!"

Penny chased after them as well. Just then, a figure in a white coat appeared from the side door and walked calmly toward the bed, shoving a pill into the patient's mouth.

Christian, who could hear everything despite his immobility, was shocked; the veins on his hands throbbed.

Who? Who else was this? What did he give him?"

Mason wasn't his biological son?

No, he couldn't die yet. He couldn't take it lying down!

The intense thought supported him, but his consciousness was growing muddled, and slowly, he could only hear noises, unable to make out any

words.

The group chased after Steve for a long time but still lost track of him in the fire escape. Just then, a nurse's scream came from the ward. "Doctor, the patient is having a seizure, and he no longer has a heartbeat..."

Saving the patient was a priority this time, and the group hurried back. Christain was pushed out of the emergency room in less than ten minutes after

he went in.

"I'm sorry, we've tried our best! The patient's artery clogged, resulting in hypoxia. His cause of death is asphyxia!"

"No, it's impossible! Dad, Dad, doctor, save my dad; he can't die now!"
