Addicted to Luring – Mister, Please Behave

Chapter 50: Maybe I’m the Ghost

Early in the morning, Wendy opened her eyes and the sunlight came into the room through the window, alighting on Wendy’s hair.

Wendy entered the bathroom. When she saw her bandaged forehead in the mirror, she immediately sobered up.

Wendy walked downstairs. When she saw Uncle John, who was busy in the living room, she was greeted by him and asked, “Mrs. Gavyn, how are you? Did you feel better?”

“Forehead?” Wendy touched her forehead. Uncle John explained, “When I got up and went to the bathroom last night, I saw that the light was still on in the study, so I went in to have a look. I saw the wound on your forehead, so I wrapped it up for you.”

“Oh, I…… I accidentally fell down yesterday.” Wendy smiled awkwardly and quickly left the kitchen.

Wendy sat at the dining table and saw Rex going downstairs. She quickly lowered her head. Rex said to the kitchen, “Uncle John, I have something to do. I won’t be having breakfast.”

“Sure.”

Wendy took out a piece of bread and peeked at Rex’s back. It was not until his back had disappeared from her sight that she started to breathe normally. Suddenly, a strange thought flashed through her mind, and she stood up excitedly. “Uncle John, I’m going to the library. I’ll be back at noon.” Without waiting for Uncle John’s reply, Wendy flew away.

Wendy walked out of the courtyard and saw Rex, who had left not long ago. It was strange that he hadn’t asked Clare to send him off. There had to be some kind of secret.

Rex, just wait and see how I’ll grab your weak point.

After Wendy had walked for a while, she realized that she was wearing slippers. She desperately tried to avoid the curious eyes of passers-by, but what should she do? Even she felt that her outfit was very strange. A dress that looked like a pajama matched with a pair of colorful slippers. This style was really amazing.

Wendy followed after Rex for twenty minutes, only to find that he was only walking in a circle. What exactly was he going to do?

Just as Wendy was distracted, Rex suddenly “disappeared” in front of her. Wendy looked around and asked, “Where did he go? How come he’s so elusive?”

“Maybe I’m a ghost.” A cold voice came from behind.

“Huh?!” Wendy was shocked. She turned around and saw Rex standing behind her, looking like a hunter looking at his prey.

“I……”

“Since you want to follow me, you should know to keep a low profile. You are wearing such a pair of big slippers. Who can’t hear the sound?”

“Who said I followed you? I came out to buy something.”

“What happened to the things you bought?” Rex continued to ask.

“I’m going to buy it now.”

“But you’ve been behind me for half an hour. There’s a supermarket outside my house. Don’t tell me you’re so stupid. Wendy, I told you to learn to be smart. If you become smart, I can promise you to make up.”

This was the first time that Rex had said so much to Wendy and it was also the first time that Wendy had carefully listened to his voice. Even though his voice was still ice-cold, Wendy seemed to be able to hear a trace of a joy in his voice. Perhaps it was just her imagination.

“Okay, that’s what you said. I’m just getting smarter. I’ll go to the library to read right away.” Wendy raised her head and looked straight into Rex’s eyes.

“If you want to learn something, then don’t follow me. If you want to follow me, then go back and change your clothes. I’ll only give you two minutes.”

Wendy thought that she had misheard and hurriedly asked, “What did you say?”

“Five seconds have passed.”

Wendy quickly went home to change her clothes. However, Rex was long gone on her way back. Wendy was so angry that she threw her bag on the ground.

“Pick up the bag.”Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

When Wendy heard the voice, she raised her head and a ray of sunlight shot into her eyes. She covered her eyes with her hands and Rex gradually became clear between her fingers. Wendy stood up and looked as if she had been wronged.

“Take your bag and keep a distance of thirty feet from me.”

This was a great opportunity for them to make up, so Wendy would not let it go easily. She did not know what was wrong with him today, but no matter what, she had to find out what was going on.

Wendy followed Rex for about an hour and arrived at a forest. She did not know what he was going to do, so she could only follow him like an idiot.

Rex stopped in his tracks and Wendy also stopped in a hurry. He turned around and saw Wendy, who was 30 feet away from him. He said helplessly, “Come here.”

“Oh.” Wendy followed him happily. Rex took out his camera from his bag, looked around, pointed at a fallen tree, and said, “Sit on that tree.”

Wendy pointed a finger at herself as her eyes widened in innocence. “Me?”

“Is there a second person here?”

“Oh.” Wendy walked to the tree and sat down in a restrained manner.

Rex looked at Wendy’s awkward pose and unconsciously frowned. He put down the camera, walked over, lowered his head to examine Wendy, Wendy asked innocently, “What…… what’s wrong?”

“Are you a zombie? Why are your poses so stiff?”

“I……”

“You don’t have to sit on the side. In front of the camera, you can sit as comfortably as you want. Just pretend to flip through the book I gave you.”

Wendy took the book that Rex had given her and acted as he had said all morning as a “faceless” model. None of his photos showed Wendy’s face, which made her very depressed.

“You…… Why are you doing all of this?” Wendy seemed to have relaxed a little compared to before.

“It’s useful.”

As expected, it was a concise and comprehensive answer. Wendy wisely closed her mouth and followed behind Rex.

“You go home first. I still have something to do,” Rex turned around and said.

“But……” Wendy said awkwardly, “I…… don’t know the way.”

Wendy clearly heard Rex’s sigh. Rex took out his phone and handed it to Wendy. “Call Clare yourself.”

Wendy took the phone from him. It seemed that the call had gone through, but as soon as Clare’s voice came from the other end of the line, there was a beep from the other end. Wendy opened her big, harmless eyes and asked in confusion, “What’s going on? Clare hung up.”

Rex couldn’t take it anymore. He took the phone and dialed Clare’s number again.

“Clare, could you please come to Arlington Street?”

Rex spoke to others so gently and politely, but to me…… She gritted her teeth and looked at Rex.

“Alright, wait here. Clare will be here soon.”

Wendy mustered her courage and tugged lightly at Rex’s shirt. Rex turned his head. Wendy met his gaze and immediately retracted her hand.

“Can you…… wait for Clare to come before you leave? There’s no one here.”

As a gust of wind blew, Rex’s hair became a little messy, covering up his emotions. He didn’t say anything and just stood quietly beside Wendy, pretending to be watching other scenery.

Very quickly, Clare arrived. Wendy sat in the car, only to see that Rex had also gotten in.

“Aren’t you……?” Wendy asked in confusion.

“I suddenly don’t want to go.” Rex resumed his icy expression.

There were two types of creatures in this world. One was women and the other was Rex. Sure enough, the iceberg was still that iceberg.
