Accidentally Married

Branch Eighty One

Jessica had never had the opportunity to visit the very popular Chiachester International Airport before and she marveled in awe at what she saw. The only way she could have seen an airport before was if watched it on the television or the internet and those things were not her interest.

“Mr. Delgado, I am glad to see you again. You haven’t gone on any business trips in the last four months” a man with the name tag of Jack spoke to Xavier as he entered the waiting area.

“Is the plane ready?” Xavier asked not returning the extensive greeting made by Jack.

“Yes, Mr. Delgado we have fueled and are currently prepared for take off. Let me take you to the waiting room” Jack said leading them.

He led them past the normal boarding center which was very rowdy and full of people. The announcer’s voice echoed through the whole room as they passed by.

Jack stopped at a door that had a tag with the letter body written, VIP BOARDING AREA.

“You can go in. If you need anything do not hesitate to let me know” Jack said and bowed before leaving.

Xavier pushed the door open and Jessica followed through. Inside the big vast room were just three other people probably waiting for their flight too. They were the people that Jessica had encountered during her greeting spree at Alicia’s party the other day.

They all threw Xavier a tired and knowing nod and he did the same. Jessica was thankful it was not more than that because she did not feel like talking much.

Xavier took his seat in one of the chairs and Jessica did the same beside him. She was afraid to let him out of her sight. She did not want to get lost in an airport. It would probably be in the news that the billionaire’s wife could not navigate her way through the airport.

Jessica looked around her as she was unable to take the place in. An ordinary office worker would not have as many appliances as there were in the room.

There was a coffee machine and water dispenser to her right. A snack table that housed enough and a vending machine too. Behind the snack table were some airport staff who were probably in charge of caring for it.

A woman with a nice smile and neatly packed hair wearing a black dress and three-inch black shoes walked elegantly towards them.

“Mr. Delgado, it’s lovely to have you with us again. Is there anything I can get for you while you wait for your flight?” she asked. On her name tag, she had Babe.

“I am fine. Can I have just water?” he said almost dismissing her. “What about you?” he asked turning to Jessica.

The woman turned and only then did she notice Jessica.

“Oh Hello, Mrs. Delgado. It’s lovely to make your acquaintance” she said with a courtesy now. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Likewise same,” she said as she smiled too.

“Would you like anything to eat it drink?” Baby asked her.

“Can I get water too?” she asked as she cleared her throat.

“Coming right up,” Babe said as she walked away.

“Are you comfortable?” Xavier suddenly asked her.

His question made her heart flutter for a moment. She came back to her senses as she nodded and then looked away.

“What was that feeling?”

The wait at the room was not all that long soon Jack was back and escorted them to a plane. As soon as Jessica entered inside she realized it was a private plane.

‘You did marry a billionaire’ she said to herself inwardly.

She knew she married a billionaire but moments like the limo on Friday and the restaurant he bought without thinking about it and now the private plane made her realize that she was truly not on the same level as he was.

If they did not meet at the court house she might have had no way to ever meet him to enter his cycle.

Xavier went in and sat on one of the chairs in the plane and put on his seat belt. There was a seat opposite his and Jessica walked slowly to him. She cleared his throat to grab his attention.

“Eem can I sit here?” she asked shuffling between her feet.

Since she had never flown before she was nervous and since it seemed like he was the only one to be on the flight with her she had no choice but to ask for his help.

“Sure,” he said gesturing for her to have her seat.

“Do you by any chance have motion sickness?” he asked just in case so that he would know what to expect.

“I have never flown before so I am not sure,” she asked as she battled with the seat belt.

She was not sure if she was getting the positioning right. She did not want to ask for help. Saying to her mouth that she had never been on a plane was embarrassing enough.

“Do you need help with that?” Jessica heard him ask. She did not ask but he offered and that made her less pathetic at least in her own eyes. It already seemed like she was freeloading him now this too?

“Yes,” she said shyly.

Xavier removed his own safely secured belt and then stood to help her. He secured the belt and triple-checked before going back and sitting back.

When he finally sat Jessica realized that she was holding her breath for quite a long time. She fanned herself with her palm as she blinked multiple times.

The pilot came over and greeted them both wishing them a safe flight.

“For someone who had never been on a plane before she sleeps much,” Xavier said and Jessica’s head bopped up and down as she sat down sleeping in her chair.

She had been afraid and it showed on her face for the first few moments that the plane took off but as soon as it stabilized she fell asleep and became as comfortable as she could get.

Xavier stared as her head and body went back and forth in sleep.

A few minutes later Xavier saw himself overlooking the beautiful planes of Aurora Haven. He was glad that Jessica was here she would be good company.
