Madeline knew Mackenzie’s thoughts. She picked Mackenzie up and kissed Mackenzie’s cheek. “Okay, you can sleep with me tonight.”

“Mommy, I want to sleep with you too!” Thomas had always liked to join in the fun.

“Okay, let’s sleep together tonight.” Since Madeline returned to Imperia, she had never been with her two children. She missed them very much.
