At Rosy's Garden in the Nalan clan's house.

"Rosy, what will you do with these pictures? The person in it is Amy. I know that she was in love with

Young Master Mu since she was a little girl! The Mu clan and the Qi clan had been friends for over a

century. But the Qi's Group was destroyed just because Amy attempted to kill the woman Charles

loved. She even paid for it with her life."

Looking at these pictures beside Rosy, Jessie wondered what was Rosy's intentions.

"You know what?" replied Rosy, "Her death won't devalue these pictures. But indeed it's such a pity that

she died!"

Rosy had actually been contemplating about the whole thing for quite some time.

The wireless microphone had been planted in Linda's living room a long time ago, so she also knew

that Linda tried to make Amy jump off that building.

After she finished hearing the recording, Jessie was shocked, "Dear lord! How could they be so cruel?"

"Although we have these pictures now, we should take it slow. Linda has not become a threat to us yet,

and we don't know how grandfather will react to it."

Lord Nalan came to Linda's place that day.

He excitedly invited Charles to play a few rounds of go since he hadn't seen Charles for quite a long

time.

"Grandfather, will you stay to have dinner with us tonight?" asked Linda, who put on a gentle smile.

Delighted, Lord Nalan replied, "Yes, I will. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you what I came here for. Since you

are getting married in a few days, I will throw a party in this villa two days before the wedding. All of the

relatives and friends of the Nalan clan will come. And, I have a wedding gift for you."

Hearing that Lord Nalan would give her a gift, Linda could not help but feel jaunty. For Lord Nalan, his

granddaughter would always be his little girl.

"Wow. Thank you, grandfather!" Even though Linda did not know what the gift would be, she could not

wait for the day to come. No matter what it would be, she would happily accept it as long as it was from

her grandfather.

Lord Nalan also put on a sincere smile when he saw his granddaughter sweetly smiling.

'Linda, I owe you and your mother a lot. I will make it up to you this time. I'll make you the happiest

bride ever!'

At the last party, Lord Nalan introduced his granddaughter to every member of the clan, and this time,

he wanted to introduce Charles to everyone

The party happened two days before the wedding.

All of the guests invited by Lord Nalan were members of the clan, And the Nalan clan was big.

At the party, Linda noticed Felix, Patrick, and Murphy whom she didn't see last time

Lord Nalan somehow took this party very seriously. He only invited his immediate descendants in the

past. But this time, he invited his brother Lang's family, including Whitney and Betty. Lord Nalan said

that he had an announcement to make at the party.

After Charles got up in the morning, he gently kissed Linda's face and caressed her belly. "Honey,

sleep some more. I need to deal with some business in the company."

Linda nodded sluggishly and moaned like a kitty.

"Okay. Remember to come home early. We have a party to attend."

She clung to his arms and kissed his face, but she had to let him go. Then, she fell asleep again.

Charles shook his head. 'What a lazy cat!'

He drove to the company after he dressed himself up. The company had lots of plans which needed to

be carried out this year, and the group had spent billions in buying other companies. As the Mu's Group

became better and stronger, there was no doubt that Charles would get busier. But still, he would make

time to be with Linda.

Ever since Charles knew of Linda's pregnancy, he took the initiative to research about it online.

And he had acquired several tips. For instance, if the husband was away from his wife during most of

the period of her pregnancy, it was highly possible that the wife would have postpartum depression.

Charles did not want his wife to suffer, so he would snatch a few hours away to stay with her as much

as he could.

Linda got up from bed at noon. After she ate the nutritious lunch especially made for her as per Anna's

special recipe, she sat down in front of her dressing table and started getting ready. There was a

important family party she needed to attend at five in the afternoon, and Lord Nalan asked her to be

there earlier because she was the one of the key persons of the meeting.

She usually would put on subtle makeup and wear an expensive gown in attending big parties, but she

just kept everything simple this time since she was pregnant.

For her, the baby was above everything.

She put on light make up and asked Bun to style her hair with a relaxed look. Then, she went to the

party with a simple, decent dress on her body. Charles had not returned yet. The weather was warm,

and the flowers had come into full bloom. She suddenly decided to go to the plum garden before

attending the party.

Less than two minutes after she had stepped into the garden, she sighed. 'It's amazing how foes come

across each other in the best possible way.'
